It has been awhile! I do miss having a chameleon and with my next one I would like to get a panther egg and go from there. For the past few years I have been taking a week vacation about every 4-5 weeks to spend time on my boat fishing. That would still be ok with an adult chameleon with...
Hi Jan. Unless it's too much stress for Gamora I think you should let both of them see a little action. It's only fair. Tell them both they are daddy's. A little unorthodox selling the babies and having pictures of 2 studs, saying the father could be either, but you're you and could get away...
I took them off $1 Walmart Christmas ornaments. They were normal width/height ratio hats, so I had to cut a good amount off the back and then sew them back to fit. I added the chin strap from the strap of a regular cheap paper party hat.
Got the calendar today. Looks excellent. Perfect color rendition. Almost always when I see one of my pictures in print, the color has shifted. Also loved seeing Cooper on the final page after December. I actually said, "aww...cool", out loud, knowing how Jann felt about him and how she wanted...
Thanks. My signature at the bottom of each post has the link to my website. Here is the chameleon folder. http://www.scottcromwellphoto.com/Photos/Panther-Chameleon/
You're welcome.
I thought I recognized that grapevine branch and tongue. I have to assume you used this picture of mine for one of your sources. I'm fine with that, but you drew his tongue closed with part of the mantis's wing in it. Also, Geoffrey had quite a thick tongue and it even looks thicker in the...
Thanks. It's a Canon 7D. It's ok, but starting to get a little old. I've had it for 7 years already. The shutter started going out during this shoot the other day. The new shutter is arriving tomorrow, so we will see how I do swapping it out. I might end up with a new camera by the time I'm...
I should have posted this one that was taken in between the other two. Sometimes with mantises, I get a cool looking pose when it's on the way to the cham's mouth. Nothing really special here, but the wings splayed helps.
Thanks everybody.
Haha. Don't worry. I won't.
As healthy as ever. He spent the entire summer outside. The hot days he had the mister going 10 hours a day.
I got him off Craigslist a couple years ago. Was told he is a mutt.
Been neglecting getting Dexter out for photoshoots. Other than taking one picture of him eating a mantis a couple of months ago, today was his only other time on the set all year. He's due for a shed and wanted to wait until after to take his picture, but this was my last mantis and didn't want...
It has it's wings, so it is an adult and will no longer molt. It looks nice and healthy. I probably wouldn't worry about feeding it anything if I was going to feed it to my cham. I fed my panther a subadult of same species this afternoon...notice pronounced wing buds, but no wings. Usually does...
