Plugs Removed!!!
Thanks guys for all ur help, I gave him a warm soak, that removed the plugs myself. Hopefully his pooping will return to normal again.
i've tried rubbing the vent, but I never saw anything come out. There's nothing protruding, like in your pictures. was your cham just further along in this process? Was the cham able to deficate? How long did u let the plug build up?
Yeah, I was told at first it was a sperm plug, I posted pictures and that's what everyone thought it was. He never passed it though, and it's not protruding enough for me to pull it out. I just noticed 2 days ago, he's just passing urates and not actuall poop. Still eating and drinking well...
my veiled is just passing his urates, and not the actual feces. He has had what i think is a sperm plug for some time, but i cannot remove it. I have a fairly ill-tempered veiled that doesn't tolerate being held. What to do??
yeah, he's pretty much an ass. he's always been extra aggressive. can't even try to pick him up without him hissing, and biting. I can hand feed him, but thats about it.
my veiled has recently started to shake or twitch, it's not very noticible unless your right up close to him. He doesn't do it often, you can bearly even see it when he does. it's just a fast twitch, is this normal? He has a uvb bulb and he gets calcium and d3 in his diet, he's never done this b4...
My veiled has had a visible sperm plug for about a week or so, he still hasn't passed it though. His tail is starting to bulge at the base of the tail. How long does it useually take to pass it??
males get bigger and more colorful. from personal experience, i think they have more personality also. plus you dont have to mess with egg laying. i'd say get a male.
I think my Veiled Ozzy finally started to munch on his pothos plant. I haven't seen him do it, but I keep finding leaves that look like this(see pic). Are these the bite marks of a chameleon, or do I have parasites or something? I've also seen leafe bits scattered on the bottom of the cage so...
yeah, it's only been a couple of days so I'm not to worried about it. I'm not seeing him drink any water though. I mist the enclosure 3-4 times a day, leaving the water droplets on the screen ceiling of the cage, but he won't come up to drink like he used to. How long do they go or can they go...
