Please help. It looks like I may lose him..

Thanks for the quick response, Ferrah88. I do mean 30" tall. I know that may be a little short, but intended to build a larger one in a few months. I typically dust the feeder insects and the gut load the crickets. Here are a few pics to help with the diagnosis. Again, thanks for all of the help.

Hi guys. Thanks for the responses. Ol' Hank still isn't doing any better. He barely moves around, expresses only slight interest in food (much unlike before-he would actively pursue crickets all around his cage), has been seen closing one eye for a unusual amount of time and he is going to...

    I think I have a sick cham...

My veiled chameleon has been acting very strange. He stays in one spot for most of the day, he does not exhibit much interest in food, he moves around sluggishly and I've noticed him sleeping a couple hours earlier than normal. I've been watching him for about a month, but the behavior became...

    They grow up so fast...

Here are just a few pics of my little guy. It's crazy how much he has grown in just 4 months. Also, is it normal for the casque to always be a dark color? His body is usually pretty dark, too. Aside from when he is hunting or sleeping.

    1st shed!

Thanks, dude! I could be completely wrong about his age. When I bought him I was told that he was 6-8 weeks old. I've only had him about a month, so I would not be disappointed to hear that he is younger than I am assumed him to be. I try to feed him twice a day and I usually drop in about 7-10...

    1st shed!

After owning my little guy, Hank Williams Jr., for just under a month, I get to come home from work and find him shedding! I believe Hank is about 3 months old and he is still quite small, so I know this is the first of many! I really hope he hits a spurt and starts to look like some of the big...

    Hydration

@Reptilover 2-2.5 months seems about right. The guy at the pet store said he was about 6 weeks when I bought him (which was about 3 weeks ago), but he didn't seem too sure. I can only hope that my little guy grows up to look something like Frankie. He looks awesome!! So he was about the size...

    Hydration

Hello again forum! I wanted to know if having a small amount of yellow in the urate was common/acceptable? I mist my little guy 2-3 times a day (which he seems to hate) and I have a dripper going throughtout the day. I've read that the urate is suppose to be white, but I've noticed small amounts...

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

Hi, again, everyone. I was wondering if anyone could give me an approximate age of my little guy from the photos I uploaded. I know that chameleons grow at different rates, but a rough guesstimate will be enough. Does 2 months seem about right?

    Reptivite w/ D3

Could someone please explain to me what Zoo Med's Reptivite w/ D3 is and how frequently it should be given to a baby veiled chameleon (about 1.5 months old)? I have plain calcium that I dust my crickets with every day, and I am wondering if the Reptivite will suffice for the vitamin and D3...

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

I have a cricket container that has the 4 built in tubes so I can get them out easily. Should I go out and buy the multivitamins, Calcium w/ D3, and Calcium w/o D3 individually? Or is there an all in one that I can give every, or everyother, day?

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

Thanks for the reassurance! Now a question pertaining to supplements. I've been doing a lot of reading and what I've gathered is that you need 3 kinds of supplements: Pure calcium; Calcium w/ D3; Multivitamins. I purchased Zoo Med's Repivite Reptile Vitamins w/ D3. I've been trying to lightly...

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

I know that I received an answer to this earlier, but my buddy (who has never owned a chameleon) insists that some female veiled chameleons can have the "bumps", or "spurs", on their hind legs just as mine does. Can I rest assured that the pictures that I have taken provide definitive proof that...

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

Thanks for all the advice! I will be picking up some more vines and plants today. I will also be placing him on a stand in the livingroom( i'm pretty sure i've talked my girlfriend into it). Does the cage look too big for him at the moment? I'm really wanting to know that he is eating, but i've...

    Question about Veiled Chameleon

Thanks a lot, guys! I am excited to watch him grow! I was told that he will probably reach full size in 9-12 months, so I went ahead and purchased the cage that they recommended for an adult. Only problem is, he is small and the cage is pretty large. I moved all the plants and vines down a bit...
