What Do his/her poops look like? This is a good way to judge how much they are drinking and eating, while giving an overall indication of health.
Try feeding some roaches, my chams hate crickets, fortunately I live in the UK where I can purchase locusts which they love unbelievable amounts! It...
sorry for your loss, Did the vet say what the problem was?
And will you be looking to get a male cham in the future or has this ordeal put you off of the whole idea all together?
Just thought I'd do a quick update, my chams color is coming back! He loves the new set up much more and his greens and blues are coming back, hopefully the reds and yellows will return too!
With the anticipated arrival of some dino fuel his colors should be back to their former glory, thanks...
That looks great, is it possible to see a pic of the whole thing? And where did you get it? I agree with the UK weather to, however this summer hasn't been too bad!
Hi, so i'm wondering are the health benefits of taking your cham outside enough to outweigh any stress caused?
I suppose this question depends on the cham itself but i have a quite scared and timid cham and not sure if i should risk it!
Thanks
haha sorry for the later reply, i didn't realise this conversation was going to get so technical!
On the day i posted this thread i did a massive clean out of his cage and switched it round a little and since then he has started looking a little brighter, so thinking it could have been...
My Chams colors seem to have dulled in the last few months, any ideas why?! I have ordered some dino fuel to brighten him back up and hopefully up his overall health, anything else I can do?
I can post some picks if u guys want
Thanks
One of my chams seems to fire up in different colours, sometimes he got a green background and sometimes it's yellow, it's 50-50 which he goes with. Does anyone else experience this, Is it unusual?
Thanks for the comments, Titan is a real looker. Still can't find the thread, I was huge before so someone must know where it's gone!
Yamajee, he spends lots of the day looking like this in his cage, however he really lights up when I take him out, it's a bit of a task getting him out as he's...
Ok, so I haven't been on the site in around 7 months, just lost interest I guess :L, but now I'm back and hooked. Thought I would give a little update. I've had a cham called Picasso around a year or so, the few pics I have of him on my profile are very out dated so I'm posing a few newer one...
My cham is just recovering from a RI, and lost lots of weight as his appetite dropped off completely. He is not very thin but starting to eat again, what foods would you suggest to aid his recovery and bulk him up again?
Thanks for the info. Really annoyingly my mister had broken and the timer was all screwed up so without me knowing the mister was going off way to often. This caused damp conditions for a few days and bam, LRI :( all fixed now but slow recovery. Will defo do shower thing. Any ideas for appetite?
So my Cham has had a LRI and my vet prescribed him baytril which I have been giving him for the last couple of weeks. It didn't have much effect in the first week so I was told to up the dosage slightly.
The clicking and and gasping has now stopped but there still seems to be excess mucus in...
Thanks for the help. The vets is qualified with reptiles and from the large amount of knowledge she showed when I took my Cham she must have had previous experience with chams.
My Cham is a 9 month old, male panther. I will get some worms and start injecting the baytril when my Cham starts...
I'm not using a syringe to administer the baytril, I'm dripping the tiny amount on a cricket, this way was recommended to me by the vet.
I will ask the vet. Thanks anyway
