I've been bitten a number of times by females and young over the years and it never hurt much but today my nice male got me when I wasn't looking. He lacerated the front and sides of my finger and bit right through the fingernail. Anyone else get a good bite and have secondary infection issues?
Half my last batch of calyptratus eggs developed to maturity but didn't make it out of their shells (they seem to have drowned because they couldn't break free). The other half are fine and doing great. Any ideas on how to prevent this on the next batch?
