So I have a total of 17 Hatchlings ranging from 1week to 2.5weeks old. I have been feeding them the larger species of flightless fruit flies and pinhead crickets. Any ways, when do I start dusting their feeders and providing them with supplements? Also, if anyone has had good results with...
He is very cute:) Give him some time and stay persistant. Eventually he will get used to you being around and associate you with food;) That's when he'll start to like you.
Update:
I now have a total of 15 babies! There were 19 fertile eggs in all. 3 of the last 4 eggs are pipped and 1 is sitting idle. I had to setup a new baby enclosure today to house all of the little ones:) Too exciting!!! More pics to come.
You were correct, the wait was worth it! 2 more hatched out today for a total of 8 so far! It's funny how after one pops out the others follow quickly:)
This is my first clutch of Panther Eggs ever! The babies started hatching out 2-9-14 So far 6 of the 19 eggs have hatched out fully, 2 are sitting pipped and 1 more is sweating. These babies are too cute! Take a look for yourself:D
I can't believe I've made it this far!!!
I hear you. That's why it's always important to put a separate thermometer in the incubator with the eggs. Some incubators will temp spike upon adjusting the temperature and is why you always want to give them a couple hours to level out the temp before placing eggs inside.
Go to lllreptile.com and check out the Exo Terra Reptile Incubator. I've heard they work well, and offer the cooling element your looking for. At a price of only $150 it's a steal!
Hope this help:)
Haha, I know how you feel;) Just like you, I just had my second egg pip, and have two more sweating! Keep me posted with your baby count. What type of chameleons are you hatching?
