Ambilobe females need male stud in San Diego

My males are all showing no interest in the females even though they're fully receptive. I'm in San Diego CA. and need to borrow a stud that's of decent quality and 100% true to Blue Bar Ambilobe locality. Lets work this out!

Furcifer pardalis may actually be multiple species

From my first reading of the report The significance of of the mDNA and the overlaying of the different mDNA groups with he different localities is the strongest proof of the argument of there being different species (sub species) for the panther group. You can also expect Werners Chameleons...

Thanks to modern DNA analysis, the same Swedish team behind the color change study this year has also released and published it's findings showing that there are multiple species of F. Pardalis (Panther chameleons) You're looking at up to 11 different groups depending on how you look at it...

26 Chameleons stolen from Kissimmee FL

They're stolen... MIA This kind of stuff happens all too often. I think that you need to ask yourself who knew about your location after doing a little internet digging. Finding your colony is as easy as getting the EXIF data off of one of your posted pictures.... (isn't GPS wonderful)...

    Male or Female Veiled?

specifically the underside of the foot pad the ankle can cover up a very small spur, it's easy to make it out with the light colored outline from the pad.

    C. Trioceros jacksonii grab bag

I think I've got a mixed group of jacksonii ssp. from the SD supershow. The males I can figure out on my own but I was wondering of the ease of ID for a group of subadult females? I'm pretty sure I have a jacksonii, jacksonii pair but I'd like to get the ID nailed down. Any experts out...

*Warning: Graphic photos* Need Help! Don't know What to Do!

Edit - DO NOT freeze the chameleon. Freezing is cold and painful, and studies say that reptiles can survive decapitation for minutes (if not hours, said one source), so the most humane way to do an at-home euthanasia is to crush their head with a brick or something similar. Sounds horrible but...

    Too much UVB

The 10.0 will kill young animals.... and chameleon skin is more sensitive to UV light than other reptiles... young especially. The 5.0's are time proven over the years. I use a old depleted 5.0 bulb for my hatchlings if that tells you anything. In the case of UV light more isn't better...

    Water crystal newbie...

Why bother A simple storage bin with a few egg crates will do nicely. Buckets tend to hold in all the CO2 and ammonia they produce... open containers do much better -especially if your buying large amounts of feeders. No need to go all crazy with this much effort. forget the crystals...

Petition to Change Chuck G's Avatar

Censorship.. and making people conform. Huh? If you don't like it.. well then, they'll suffer the absence of your presence. Right? What is this anyway? .. trying to make someone else conform to your tastes? by making a public matter vs a personal one? If I had an avatar that was...

    Fussy male panther chameleon

Change his environment get him out of his cage and into the sunlight. let him be stuck in a small (fake) tree or whatever for a few hours. It'll do him good... I've found that they get "depressed" or frustrated at being stuck in a cage all day Certainly a young horny male feeling his oats...

    Quads

There's a big difference between Veilds and Quads. If you had said that you could keep a panther alive and happy Then the switch wouldn't be as great. I'm still trying to work with them myself. The show animals i got were very sick to begin with.

Do chameleons like to be handled

The question itself is kinda "wrong" A dog enjoys being played with, a cat being petted. What we think of as enjoyment is a higher function it's kinda hard to tell because such reptiles haven't had an evolved a need to communicat in such a way (I'm happy sunbathing serves no benefit to...

Do chameleons like to be handled

Chams do not understand "petting" or being held They're not mammals. What they like is what being held does for them. like going outside out of their cages and into the sunlight. Getting fresh drink of water or an insect. They can understand that easy enough. So if being held by their owner...

    Durability of Coccidia?

It's the cysts ... they're not "eggs" they contain 4 pairs of infectious bodies in each one. It's the long lasting (oocyst (life cycle page) that are the problem These have thick walls around them that resist efforts to kill their contents. It can be a real problem, that will kill your animals...

    Mistakes

My greatest mistake? I let someone handle one of my breeders (elvis) because she begged me. (she also just got finished handling a sick bearded dragon)
