Can any one tell me what their guess would be on what color theses babies will be. I have some that looks like blue bars and some red. But I'm not sure. and dad.
So one of my baby chameleons I notices was gaping and seemed to be trying to throw something back up. I figured it was still stuck in its throat and I was about to assist. I was checking the forum for advise and I went back to it and saw that he had thrown it up. Whew. Then he decided it wasn't...
Hate to have to post here but I'm not sure what's wrong with my female panther chameleon. She has this black mark on her side that worries me and has been extending her "chin" all the time.
What's a safe uv level for babies and what's a good but reasonable priced uv meter I can purchase to measure? I was checking them on amazon and there were a few different kinds.
Thanks!
So excited!!
One of my babies pipped yesterday and today another started! Yay! Babies are coming! And 2 more are sweating. Finally its happening. Now the fun begins!
I had a egg start sweating a week and a half ago for some unknown reason and then nothing happened. I noticed some mold on it today so decided it was done for and opened it up. This is what I found. Eggs were laid in July and I'm not sure if they're all immature or this one was just under...
My first egg was sweating on 2/25 and stopped around 3/1 and nothing has happened since. I have another egg sweating and has been for about 3 days. I'm worried. I thought I'd have more progress by now. Should I be worried about the one that stopped sweating? Here's the current sweater.
Just set up my first baby bin. Let me know what you think. The UVB bulb I think I will be swapping out for a mini and the light is 75 watt. Planning on making a second one under it once they hatch and get bigger.
I have a mist king set up for the adults that runs 2-3 mins 4 time a day. Is that ok for the baby bins too or is that too much? I was hoping to keep everyone on the same system.
Anyone have their own thread or know one that shows general panther egg development month by month and what they look like when they are about to hatch. Thanks!!
My female panther Chloe just laid a second batch of eggs. She first laid in April. The first clutch I assumed was infertile so I tossed them. We had tried to breed her but never saw them "hook up" so we assumed they hadn't. Now she just laid 29 eggs just 2 months later. I'm so confused because...
I showed my female my male today. She looked like this. Usually she instantly turns black and hisses. Today she just puffed up a little but didn't change color. I was holding him while i took the pic. I'm confused. Receptive? Or maybe close to it?
My female Chloe laid her first clutch of infertile eggs like a champ. I was freaking out that there would be complications but she dug her hole, laid, and climbed back up to sleep. It was pretty quick she did it all in 1 day. Now my question is about how long do we have to wait till she may be...
