    Female Veiled in Minnesota

Would there be any takers if I were to say the chameleon itself was free to be re-homed?

    Female Veiled in Minnesota

Because of work, school and my current living arrangement, I have to re-home my 6 month old female veiled. Is there anyone out there that might be interested? I would be willing to negotiate price as well as supplies.

    Supplement for dusting?

In my trial and error - which is limited, very limited - the Repashy supplement worked for me. I can't speak to its efficacy, but I know that my nearly 4 mo. old female veiled did NOT eat crickets even lightly dusted with Rep-Cal's Calcium w/o D3 Ultrafine powder. I am using the Repashy...

"That chalky, white 'dust' doesn't taste so good."

Thanks everyone for your input. I went with what many of you suggested and tried Repashy. It worked wonders! Not only does it smell good, it is so finely made and the color is that of a cricket, so instead of white, moving crickets, she got to eat tasty, normal looking food! Thanks again.

"That chalky, white 'dust' doesn't taste so good."

My 3.5 mo. old Veiled has apparenrly developed quite the palate: she won't eat crickets dusted with the Rep Cal calcium w/o D3 (ultrafine) powder! How have any of you dealt with this? I don't want her to starve, but I don't want her to be calcium-deficient, either. Thanks in advance!

To D3 or not to D3?

Thanks for all of your responses. If I were to give you some info, would anyone be able to tell me how much to use? Or if it's too much to use daily (I'm assuming 400,000 IU/Kg is too much...). I am using: 1.) Reptisun 5.0 compact bulb on for 12 hours 2.) Rep-Cal's Phosphorous-Free CALCIUM...

To D3 or not to D3?

SO, I went to the local reptile shop to get some reptiworms (they had none) or something other than crickets (came out with small hornworms) because my 3-month-or-so-old female Veiled is only eating about 4 crickets a day. Anywho, that's beside the point. I am writing this because the saleswoman...

    How Close is too Close?

My baby veiled (about 3 mos.) has finally reached the top of her cage and is climbing on the top! I have both of my lights on the top, each one a couple inches above the wire mesh. I am only using a 40 watt bulb for heat because it's very hot where I am. If she's a couple inches from the lights...

    New Baby Veiled Not Eating?

Thanks again everyone. The cup-feeding method worked VERY well! She has eaten about 10 already today (x-small crickets). I'll try again later!

    New Baby Veiled Not Eating?

Thank you for your quick responses. I would love to get a smaller cage but can't at this time. My other question is: how long can she go without food? I'm trying right now to cup feed her...

    New Baby Veiled Not Eating?

Hello all. A first time post for a new chameleon owner. So, I got a young (about 3 mos.) veiled chameleon on saturday and she ate a couple crickets. Today, however, she hasn't eaten any! I can't free range them because her enclosure is too big, so I'm trying to hand feed her with tongs. I also...
