    Iguanarium cage or DIY caged???

Well I live in a warm, humid envirement in Northern Indiana, so I may just get a Iguanarium or cage with mesh and see how it keeps temps up and humidity. I can always add clear plastic vinyl shower curtains to the back and sides if it doesn't keep humidity high enough.

For everyone who KNOWS you can't keep chams in glass

I live in Indiana and the humidity and summer heat can be a little too unbearable sometimes. But the veiled chameleon will be inside in air conditioning, so maybe it would be best to get that Iguanarium cage later instead.

For everyone who KNOWS you can't keep chams in glass

Is a glass terrarium ok for a adult veiled chameleon? If so, what size? I am going to be getting a veiled and he will be very young, so it will be a while before we have to get him a adult sized cage. But my question is, would you say that a glass terrarium would be ok to house a adult veiled...

5.0 UVB Reptisun for baby veiled...how many hours a day?

Hey I am getting a male baby veiled but read on a web page that because of the sensitivity of the eyes in a baby veiled that the UVB should be only on for 4 hours? And that it should be about 6 - 8 inches from the top so that it doesn't burn the eyes? Is this true?

    Iguanarium cage or DIY caged???

Glass Cage Information??? Ok, so according to you guys the glass is a great way to go. You aren't the first person to tell me that the reflection scare is a myth, and if I put plenty of plants and stuff in there it would be a great place for a chameleon. I may have to put a fan on top though to...

    Iguanarium cage or DIY caged???

I am looking into getting a larger cage for my chameleon once he gets to be an adult and I was wondering what you guys think of a LLL cage or an Iguanarium? Some pros for the Iguanarium are that I won't have to worry about nose rub or his nails getting pulled by the screen but the cons are low...

I didn't read the dates, sorry! Ok, so first of all I didn't notice the dates! OOPSY! Sorry about that. In regards to the dripper, first of all I believe I said they were tips, not set in stone, but as for a dripper I believe that it is a matter of opinion. In my opinion, however, I believe...

    Sick?

Tips Ok so I don't feel bad for you but I do feel bad that a chameleon died because of your lack of research. BEFORE you bought it you should have done proper research. Then you would have known that what the petstore told you was wrong. Anytime you are getting a new pet, always do proper...

How to tell a healthy chameleon from a sick chameleon

Straight legs in baby chameleons? I have looked at pictures of healthy chameleons and noticed that the front two legs in baby chameleons (like camimom's pic) have one elbow in both front legs but the back two seem straight? Is that normal?

    Can someone help me plz

Parasite? Sounds to me like it MIGHT be a parasite problem. You should post some pics for us to see and fill out that form. I would suggest taking the chameleon to a vet before it gets worse.

How to tell a healthy chameleon from a sick chameleon

Hello! I am hoping to find a healthy panther chameleon from a breeder at a local reptile show this weekend, and although I have done almost a months or more worth (every day, at least 3 hours on the web) of researching chameleon care, I have not been able to find out how to really tell a sick...

    Panther Chameleons and Parasites???

Hello I am going to be getting a Panther Chameleon and am doing a ton of research into how to care for him before I get him and have heard that they can get parasites. Some people on websites seem to way over exaggerate:rolleyes: on how often they get them though and that they can die on the...

    Misting a Panther Chameleon

I am still searching for a good breeder in the area that has healthy male panther chameleon. I live in Indiana and it is kind of rural so it is really hard to find them here, unless I wanted to travel all the way to a pet store in Chicago to get one, which I don't trust pet stores sometimes.
