Comment by 'sandrachameleon' in 'The dreaded burn'

I know how you feel. My guy got burned too (he escaped his cage and ended up under the light fixture touching the bulb!) Just do the best you can for treatment (if needed) and keep doing the best you can generally. He will survive. Mistakes happen - don't beat yourself up too much, just learn...

Comment by 'sandrachameleon' in 'Polly's finnished enclosure'

Looks good. Especially once that pothos fills in a bit more at the top. You might want another horizontal vines/branches under the basking light, to give options in terms of distance from the bulb You could attach some larger bowls in there for feeding fast moving prey like roaches and...

Comment by 'sandrachameleon' in 'Panther prey consumption log, July 2013'

my chameleons were / are several different ages - but the log is of what adults (over 1 year) ate. yes, they do tend to eat less as they get older. usually you dont need to restrict prey, although some (more often females) will overeat. what the fat pads

I wouldn't say the moths are healthy, but certainly many chameleons do seem to be stimulated by flying prey - we could call it fun :)
