    Black patch on panther cham?

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend whose worried about his cham. It has developed a black area on its side that has slowly got bigger and has had trouble shedding this area. Viv is an XL repribreeze with humidity at 60%, feeds well and sheds well apart from that area. Misting 3 x...

Picky Eater? Or do I have a problem?

Hiya guys, I've had my male blue bar ambilobe for 2 years now and his diet has been on gut-loaded crickets, locusts, the odd mealworm and the VERY odd waxworm (i think he's only had 4 in his life!?). Silkworms and other exotic feeders are quite difficult to get hold of in the UK...

    Nosy Be, Mitsio?

Hi guys, I've had Roger now for 2 years - and he's living a very happy and spoilt life. I'm looking into breeding him over the next year or 2 (before you ravage me with questions, yes I can afford it, yes I have the time and I'm not going into anything without knowing absolutely everything...

    Bad Aim?

Yes he can see out of both eyes. When he strikes he moves both eyes forward and focuses on the feeder. I offer him crickets/locusts on either side of his head and he can see them. But I will definitely carry this on to see if there's a definitive side that he doesn't react to feeders on.

    Bad Aim?

Here is a video of Roger when he was 6 months old in December 2011, eating a cricket. This is when he fed normally. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT-OpMcWYTU&list=UU1qZ58qyEDKRdEaQQ_bDo4A&index=4&feature=plcp Here are 2 videos taken tonight of him eating his crickets...

    Bad Aim?

My supplementation at the moment is Calcium with no D3 on every feeder, then Nutrabol once a week. What sort of regime did you start with your supplementation where your little buddy got better? I'd be interested to try it just to see if Roger benefits. I'll post pictures soon!

    Bad Aim?

Hi guys, My panther chameleon Roger has had a change in the way he eats. When I first got him in October 2011 his aim was brilliant, extending his tongue fully in order to catch food. For a couple of months now though - he literally cannot strike his tongue out to get a bug. His tongue...

    Respiratory Infection?

Got a list of things to get at the shops today thanks to yourself and sandrachameleon :-) Just feel rather stupid that I haven't been doing it correctly, only want what's best for Roger! I'll wait and see what anyone else posts on here, but thanks for the starting point kev

    Respiratory Infection?

Yes, I'd like to do that. Where can I find it? I gut-load my crickets and locusts with carrots, potatoes, apple, pear - whatever I have in the house. I change the food daily for them daily. I dust them with calcium lightly at every feed, and I dust lightly with Nutrabol once weekly. I try...

    Respiratory Infection?

As if I couldn't get any worse, he did have some substrate but I've just this second taken it out. Again, I was misinformed by the person that sold him to me - he said that the worse thing that can happen with substrate is that he could swallow it, but because I got him handfeeding he said it...

    Respiratory Infection?

I'm sorry if I'm going to sound horrible or a proper newbie... But the viv doesn't have any means of drainage - he has an umbrella tree that I mainly spray, he likes to lick the dew off of the leaves when he's not drinking straight from the bottle. I've heard that a live plant helps with...

    Respiratory Infection?

It's a wooden viv with a glass door - with 2 mesh openings for ventilation. I've sourced an all-mesh sided one and am just saving up for it. You think this could be the problem?

    Respiratory Infection?

Hi guys, The reason I'm not acting so panicked is because my chameleon, Roger, seems to be doing okay in himself. However, he is my first chameleon and this is generally the best place for advice! He's a panther chameleon, nosey be x mitsio, 1 year old now, i've had him since he was 4...

    Crazy about worms

I had the same problem with my panther cam! I got him mealworms as a treat and for a while that's what he would eat, he looked utterly disgusted when I offered him crickets. But mealworms are not good for him as a staple diet, so I stopped the mealworms completely and just offered him crickets...

    Thoughts on calcium?

Okay I'm rather confused about how we should be dusting the feed with calcium/D3. I'd like your thoughts on the situation but first I'll let you know why I'm so confused! My supplier and breeder of my Nosey Be Panther Chameleon (Roger :-)) only ever dust crickets/food with Nutrabol at every...

    4 days without food?

Thank you guys! And thanks for the recommendations to Walmart - but unfortunately I live in the UK and I also live in the middle of a tiny coastal village with no decent pet store  Much appreciated :D

    4 days without food?

Hey guys, I've had a problem with a supplier who delivers to my door (I live in the middle of nowhere!), I have only 2 crickets left, but he cannot get my new food order to me until Friday (today is Wednesday). Roger, my panther chameleon, is 10 months old. He didn't feed yesterday, but...

Is he at a good weight?

I've only had one chameleon, but I've got the same species and at the same age he looks very similar to my one - he looks like a good weight to me :) the cricket feeder looks awesome, i'll have to give it a go!
