so this morning i was getting ready to take Mystique to a different vet to hopefully get her help. But when i went to check on her...she had passed away.:( I know it was a long shot trying to save her, but i just cant believe she's gone. I miss her so much :..(

vet said her mdb had progressed to far for effective treatment. she has 12in of sand in her new low long cage, so she doesnt hurt herself by falling.

ohh, i wasn't sure if it was mbd related or not. and no she's not shedding.

So many of you know that my 1 year old veiled chameleon Mystique has mbd. In the past few days she's managed to perk up a bit now that she's in a 20g long tank, to prevent damage from falling. She's moving around more now. But i've noticed that every once and a while when she's walking her right...

...they did. i just really didnt want to do that. which i know is selfish. but im still hoping to improve her health on my own. she started to try and climb again today, and also managed to get her to eat a few bites of her pothos plant and a few mealworms. not great i know, but still an...

they said at this point it'd be usless because at her stage she's to weak to do anything, and both her back legs are deff broken. so even if they did give her the stuff to stop the progression she'd still likely die from being unable to move or eat.

just sucks to hear that there really isnt anything i can do for her. but i'll love her for every minute that i can. <3

lol sorry....so i have some very upsetting news about Mystique...i took her to the vets the morning. and she told be that she does deff have mbd and that it has progressed to far to be helped by treatment. =[ she said all i could do was keep her comfortable until she passes. :..(

thank you for your support, unfortunately she is completely unable to grasp branches everytime she tried recently shes fallen. She's stopped trying at this point and just sits at the bottom of her cage in the shade of her plant. Does that mean that it is to late to treat her now?

i certainly will be taking her to a vet as soon as i find one that knows anything about chams. i will tell my friend that they are a terrible cham owner. i know it cant be cured but i at least hope i can stabilize it enough to save her
