    Omar is feeling better...

I absolutely agree. If the person who had him even slightly cared or paid attention, he would not have endured so much hardship....

    Omar is feeling better...

I wish it would have been as easy as a shower...I had to flush the eyes everyday with a catheter and get eye ointment in them...:)

    silkworm sizes

I like getting the eggs...last time I ordered from CS I got an order of large, said to be about 1 in...but they were huge (2-3 inches), too big to feed to my cham and all immediately started to cocoon...I prefer the smalls if eggs are not available, then I grow to the size I need. :D

I do have both lowes and home depot. The ones at home depot only had temp, no humidity. I will look at lowes today.

    temp/humidity gauge

Has anyone used the r-zilla digital temp and humidity gauge? http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=temp+and+humidity+gauge&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=9991734106548454312&sa=X&ei=OWHNTYDoGqnn0QGg9sH2DQ&ved=0CHUQ8wIwAQ&biw=1003&bih=589#

    Another possible rescue

I technically do write for a living in a manner of speaking. But, kid you not, this thing is possessed! It will actually leap off of whatever he is on to get away from me....someone may already have used this name, but he needs to be called Evil Chamevil....

    Another possible rescue

The cage he came in is not bad...for a tiny tiny chameleon (its all screen which is nice for a baby, not a 4-5 month old of his size)...he's now in the newest patio cage I built with tons of room...I'm sure he will settle down.

    Another possible rescue

Yeah...I don't own the one in the avatar, but that would be about right. Took me forever just to grab him out of the filthy cage he came in...imagine a tiny little 3 inch body hissing like crazy , puffing up like a blowfish, turning black and jumping around like a rabbit...he better warm...

    Another possible rescue

Quarantine...yes! Turns out, its a boy...and man, is he a mean little thing. Didn't know they could jump or move that fast. Wow. He looks very healthy for what he was kept in, I'm sure I got him before any problems could really start since the kid only had him for less than 2 months....but talk...

    Another possible rescue

Dangit, I need to stop looking at craigslist. This 6 month old veiled is living in a terrium with mulch...the person has no clue the sex and is wanting to 'get rid' of it b/c they are going on vacation for a few weeks. The picture is not the best, but she/he looks like there may be eye...

    Possible URI?

He seemed fine the rest of the day yesterday and ate his normal amount. Who knows what his deal was...:D
  17. allicat1229

    Possible URI?

No lifting of the head, seems normal other than that. I could be over reacting, it just started this morning.
  18. allicat1229

    Possible URI?

He is chin puffing, but no saliva
  19. allicat1229

    Possible URI?

Nope...no discharge anywhere...he opens his mouth too, which also looks clear of mucous...very strange

    Possible URI?

Ok, so my rescued veiled, Omar, is acting a bit odd this morning. He's a little shaky, sneezed, and keeps swallowing. I do not hear any noise when he breathes, which is good. Has anyone dealt with upper respiratory in chams? I sent an email to my reptile vet, but figured I'd get some advice here...
