These are ficus they are the easiest to grow of the ficus family. the latin name is (Ficus lyrata - synonym Ficus pandarata). i dont know about their toxicness. they do grow fast though and get rather large up to 25 feet.

By tamp i mean did you push the coco bedding into the silicone. and as for the epoxy i know you can order it on line.but yeah it isnt cheap.

you would ave been better off with a epoxy than silicone. but any way did you tamp the coco bedding into the silicone or just spread it ontop of it. In order for it to really adhear to it it will need to be tamped into the silicone.

Your plants should be fine with the fluorescent lights. as you will fine most people use these lights and have grate success with them. i would worry more about the light requirments for your veiled and finding plants that will grow well with thoughs requirements and are safe.

good guide lines. enough info to help people but not confuse them. very well put together. just remember know the rules then find a way to brake them. everyone can know the rules but braking them is what can sets you apart.
