    Lost my Penelope today :(

Took her to the vet yesterday for a giant abcess that literally formed in her mouth overnight :( They drained it and sent her home with meds, I got home from work today and checked on her and she was gone. I lost my other one a few months ago. I'm done with chameleons. I can't handle another one...

Need advice on helping my girl through mouth rot :(

Thanks for your replies, both of you!! About the vitamin A thing, I'm not sure why. The vet didn't actually even see her before she suggested it, nor had she been told about my husbandry. When I called her, the first thing she said after I said she had an infection was that I probably needed...

Need advice on helping my girl through mouth rot :(

Alright. So I don't really post on here often but I do read through frequently, and I'm sure there are probably similar threads to mine on here but some personalized responses and tips would be nice :) So here's the rundown. My little jacksons female, Penelope, has been showing signs of mouth...

    Breeding Jacksons

Sounds like a good read, i'll look into it :) Yeah, i know its kind of a risk to start out with live births but I have enough time and money to invest into looking after the female (and the babies, when they come) that I don't think i'm making a bad decision :)

    Breeding Jacksons

Will she show distinctive colors when she's been successfully impregnated? I thought I knew so much, but now when it comes down to actually happening, I don't feel as knowledgeable as I did, haha.

    Breeding Jacksons

Haha yeah, that's part of it, I have found sooo much about caring for eggs and laying eggs and etc etc but it seems harder to find accurate information about chams such as jacksons that have live births. hmm.

    Breeding Jacksons

So, I got my male back in June. I was not planning on getting another, but he was more or less an impulse buy. I knew I wanted a cham, but was not entirely certain about how to take care of them or what kind I wanted. I went to an expo with the intent of just looking at them, and I came home...

    Adopted a ball =D

Don't you hate that!? The petsmart near me had a veiled a few months ago. I was in there buying cat food and I saw this tiny little baby veiled...for like 120 dollars! Just out of curiosity, I talked to their so called "reptile expert" and asked him about it, he was trying to tell me that she...

    Seattle Reptile Expo

I went! ...And I was sorely disappointed. I got my first cham from the expo in Lake City back in June, and I was really impressed how many there were there! But this last one kinda sucked. I saw that Mellers with something wrong with his eye and I felt bad enough for him that I wanted...
