I do both.

They are on separate circuits and the only thing on them is the MistKing pump.

Has anyone else had problems with the MistKing timers failing? I had one fail and they sent me a replacement with the second system I ordered and both of the new ones have failed. Two of the relays are locked open and the other one is locked close.

I have two hibiscuses trees planted in Jacks cage he loves eating them but have never seen him eat the dirt. The fine sifted soil compacted down from being misted I added more and he went down to see what I did but just looked. Just be sure you sift the dirt so it is small particle size.

I use the water from walmart it is 1.20 or so for 5 gallons and it is RO water.

I built mine from window screen.

The 2.0 does not put out much uvb and it only travels about 1.5 to 2 inches from the bulb. The 10.0 you would have to increase the distance from the basking spot.

Your lights are fine to use but you need to read the directions for the proper distance from basking spot. If you are using a screen top it should be 12" and if you are using 2 of them it should be more because the uvb will travel further out. I would replace one of them for a 2.0.

I have three 2.0 lights and both of mine are doing great and bloom all the time.

It is a very simple thing to set up but he may learn to avoid that area if he does not like getting sprayed with water.
