At what age should I put a little bucket of dirt in my female veiled chameleons cage?

So I'm going to be going out of town for few days. What should I do for my chameleon, food wise, misting wise, and turning on/off the lights?

So I just found out that a female chameleon shouldn't have a basking light but it should stay around low 80s. My house thermostat is at 70 so how's the temperature gonna increase if there's no basking light? :confused:

My Veiled Chameleon is always brown and spotted and seems reallllllly scared of me when he's in his cage but as soon as I let him out he turns light green. Even when I'm holding him... :confused:

My Veiled Chameleon has been black like all day. However, he is shedding. Is this just a symptom of shedding or is he stressed?

Anybody know any helpful tips for it? I've tried a few times but never found any eggs...
