What's going on guys. I haven't been on here in a while. I kept a veiled chameleon that's died about 2 years ago and I decided to take a break.(I was heart broken) so then I got into saltwater fish which is awesome but I've always been so fascinated by chameleons and still am. So lately I've...
This is my chameleon fish (Foxface):D
If you linger around the tank for to long he will do this,he goes to some of the rock and changes to the colors above and tries to blend in. Which can be dangerous because he's also poisonous.
He even does the chameleon lean (he leans with you, to try...
I was woke up at about 3 am(an hour a go) to a loud thud and I look over and see my year and a half old veiled laying on his side. Over the past hour nothing has gotten better he's made a few attempts to get up but couldnt find the strength. He managed to get upright on his stomach but couldn't...
Hello ive recently acquired a little baby jackson's chameleon. I also have a veiled chameleon (a little over a year old) who is very healthy and doing fine, so I pretty much know all the basics to chameleon care.
What I want to know from all you Jackson experts is any tips, no matter how big...
Say hello to the newest member of my fam, Jerry:D
(Sorry if the pictures come out HUGE)
I can wait to see him grow up and be a big monster like my veiled.
I'm letting Bonnaroo sleep in his big palm tree tonight for the first time, and I'm a nervess wreck, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight -_-
Anybody else go through this there first night?
He's getting to be such a big boy, I miss the tiny little veiled :p
I swear he has moods, some days I can't walk by his tree without him almost falling off reaching for me, and some days I can't even walk by without him wanting to kill me.
The first "is my girlfriends" and she hasn't named her yet, the second one is mine (they're both really mine) her name is Juno.
They are so cute and I love them :)
To start I think I'm going to get a pair of cresties today:) i had a few questions, can they eat pretty much all the stuff my Cham eats in addition to crestie food. But my main question is there husbandry. Is height more important than anything else? Should I set up hydro balls on the bottom? Is...
I got the game today, and I started playing and he walked out of his cage, down his tree, up me and sat on my shoulder and watched me play for a good 20 minutes :)
O and AMAZING game between this and my Cham I'll never leave my house again:)
I got my little dudes big boy house set off and just wanted to show some pictures, 48x24x24 is way biggggger than I was in-visioning too:p
In the last picture he climbed out of his cage on to his tree down his tree and up on top of the light of his old cage, I think he's nostalgic
So my veileds big boy cage is coming in today, and after that his old 36x18x18 cage will just be sitting there...empty. And a local pet store just had sone jacksons babies born about a month and a half ago, so I may be leaning that way.
But im Just wondering what other species could live in a...
So I ordered my veiled his big boy cage today, and came to the realization that I can't just let his old cage just sit there. (where's the fun in that).
So id heard about this petstore close by I'd never been to, so I go to check it out and they had a HUGE reptile section...HUGE. They had...
Now I would never do this, so this is completely out of curiosity.
But some nights when I get home, I just wish I could open my chams cage and let him out on his tree and let him roam.
So my question is how detrimental would it be to a Cham to miss a nights sleep or get like a short night...
My Cham is really starting to frustrate me. He hasn't really eaten his crickets since about Sunday. I know he will still eat because the second I show him a butter/Phoenix /horn worm he goes right after it. I put some Dubias in his cup this morning and he's shown interest in it but no luck...
So I saw my Cham gapping today( granted he was sitting right under his basing light) and then he closed and opened his mouth and there was a good amount of saliva. He's still really active and eats like a horse.
So I was wondering if any one knew any good vets in Virginia Beach, VA? or could...
