I am currently keeping my little Mt Meru jacksons in a fairly large enclosure. 48' x48'x 72'. Most of the bottom half is covered with live foliage. -----Can an enclosure be 'too big'?
This song is melancholy, depressing and uplifting at the same time and it is by far, my favorite Christmas song ever. (one of my favorites. Period)

To be honest, I don't think I've heard too many positive reviews of ultrasonic foggers. Does anyone here use them? They definately create a nice effect but I have heard they are not reliable and can be unsafe. Currently, I hand mist my chams enclosure but I am expecting to be away from home...
Here are a few pics of my Mt Meru. Shortly after we got him, he started showing signs of edema. Ive reduced his supplementation, paid more attention to gutloading and increased his misting (5 daily)
I took down all the heat/light sources in my backyard today. Our cham escaped from his outdoor enclosure in late June. We clung on to hope that we would find him before the cold weather arrived, but the weather is now just too cold, at night it's just a few degrees above freezing. He was a...
Do you have all your lighting, misting, dripping set up on timers or do it yourself. Currently, I don't have anything automated, not even lights. I turn them on and off at the same time daily, this gives me a chance to observe/inspect my chams and their enclosures. The same goes with...
I know this is a topic that has been beaten to death many times over, but I need to share this. Yesterday, I went to my local pet shop to pick up some crickets, while the kid was bagging them I walked to the back of the store to check out their reptiles. Right away I noticed a sign that read...
Here are a few pics of our recent addition. We have had him for around 1 month. He is w/c and seems rather content in his new environment--Any guess on his age?
First of all, sorry, I don't have any pics. I'll bring my camera next time I to the pet store. A local exotic pet store has an absolutely gorgeous and massive panther. I have never seen one this big. Even his head seems abnormally large. He seems healthy (they've had him for 2 yrs) although...
Just curious what your spouses (girlfriend, boyfriend, roommate.etc) think of your fascination with chameleons? Are they supportive and involved or do they think you're nuts? The first time i brought a chameleon into our home my wife said " ewww, what is that!"--She wouldn't go anywhere near...
Of course, one of the most fascinating things about chameleons is the way they eat. We all love to watch our chams eat.--So yesterday I decided to pick up a few silkies as snacks for my veiled. I put one on a vine just a few inches away from her and I sat maybe 12 inches away watching the...
In late June our gorgeous Ambilobe escaped from his outdoor enclosure. I have a heavily treed backyard --I assume he's climbed to a high spot. We have been looking for him on a daily basis, with no luck. We have set up lights in some areas, hoping he will be attracted to the light/heat. The...
I recently picked up a Mt Meru Jacksons(wc). His health seems to be fine. One thing i've noticed is when he eats, he rarely throws his tongue (Ive seen him throw it twice -successfully-) but for the most part, when he's hungry, he walks over to his prey and tries to grab it -like a dog-Many...
My local petshop recently brought in two Jacksons. I decided to take one home with me- He is wc. I have a vacant enclosre ( 26" x 26" x 36") which he is now calling home. He didn't eat the first day but since then i've seen him eat and drink. He seems quite comfortable in his new...
