Having never heard of the group or song, thanks so much for sharing. It is melancholy, depressing and yet uplifting. Also hauntingly beautiful.

Im glad you like it! Sadly the girl who sings (Kirsty McColl) died shortly after in a boating accident while Shane MacGowan continues to battle drug and alcohol issues. Here is a newer version with Shane in prime form.
