Good call! With the HO UVB it seems to penetrate the whole enclosure sine it's only 36". Using the CFL might give hime more options to bask and hide without receiving UVB. It is definitely worth thinking though, thank you! Haven't thought of lower night temps; I'll give it a try! How much lower...
