Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

Hey everyone! Been a while since I've even logged on, so I thought I'd pop in with a few update pics of Olivander. He'll be 3 years old next month, and he is doing really well. He was actually curious to come out and visit today (for once), but he regretted it when I was taking pictures and...

Opinions please: old stuck shed around horns?

Thank you - for the compliment and the advice! It really only worried me because the base of his horns got really dark.... He is my first with horns, so I didn't know if that was normal. I'll keep an eye on it, though, and keep q tips handy just in case ;)

Opinions please: old stuck shed around horns?

A couple of months ago, I had to take Ollivander to the vet for an infection on his lip. After using the antiseptic wash and the silver sulfazadine cream for 2-3 weeks, it cleared up (actually cleared up within the first week, but per vet orders I continued to treat until he cleared it). Last...

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

After you pointed this out, I checked his mouth and all seemed well; no sign of what was showing up in the pictures. He just had a shed, though, and it looks like something popped up again. It seems to just stick in that spot for some reason. I took a wet q-tip to it just now to see if I could...

Melaleuca brand natural cleaners... I'm curious

The "Tub and Tile" that I currently have says palm and coconut derived cleaning agents; citric acid and glycolic acid, both naturally derived; biodegradable solvents and polymer; and fragrance. The "Tough and Tender" which I was thinking of getting for this purpose (they have a concentrate I...

Melaleuca brand natural cleaners... I'm curious

Usually I stick with good ol' white vinegar and hot water to clean and disinfect my cage and equipment. It's cheap, safe, and effective, especially when it comes to mold potential. A little while ago, though, I started using that all natural brand Melaleuca for around my house. I guess this...

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

Thanks! And thanks for the tip...These pics are all 3 weeks to 3 months old, and I haven't noticed anything sticking for that long. I'll definitely check tomorrow, though, when he wakes up and gets somewhere more accessable! As for his size, I couldn't get an accurate weight recently due to his...

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

Been a while, so here are a ton of pics uploading from my phone. Gotta get on my computer to edit and type because I don't feel like writing all of this with my thumbs! Ok so we bought a new house and moved in November... Olivander was not amused. I had to fix a few things in his big cage, so...

Is Safe to feed my chameleon only meal worms/ how do I keep crickets alive?

Yeah that's a no on the mealworms. As for the crickets, I have had a lot of success with keeping boxes of 500 by using Cricket Crack regularly and regular water crystals. You can buy the dry Cricket Crack gutload from their website or facebook or something... can't remember because it lasts a...

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

@jajeanpierre is this the sort of grumpy you had referred to about one of his siblings? He sometimes even puffs up when I just open the door, sit back, and quietly hang out with no attempt to reach in or anything. He just likes to be alone! Ha My mother in law suggested that perhaps he needs a...

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

Hmm Smug.... That's one way of putting it, I guess. I would have gone for "temperamental pain in the ass that won't let me do what I know is good for him," but "smug" works hahahaha!

Updates on Olivander the TQ Gracilior (and Co.)

I understand that chameleons are solitary and antisocial creatures, often even being quite grumpy. It seems that Olivander has gotten even grumpier with age, though! Don't get me wrong, I love to just watch him from a distance (that's pretty much the point of keeping these guys), but days like...

    Alfie Gracilior

@jajeanpierre they are gorgeous! Samantha being dark and cranky DEFINITELY sounds like Olivander's clutchmate! :ROFLMAO: He really is a grump.

Marks on grips of back feet

Ok I'm glad I was off today and that a recent storm blew some branches down in my yard Hahaha I spent the last few hours cutting new branches including thin lilac switches, deconstructing most of his cage, cleaning/disinfecting EVERYTHING because I could, and redoing the layout. It is similar...
