Kinyongia Boehmei - Breeding Project Log

...look great!! I decided my home temperatures were a little too variable for comfort to incubate at room temp. I ended up ordering a Vevcor incubator to try out. I have had it running since Wednesday, and it is keeping very consistent temperatures thus far. I am shooting for a temp of 70...

They look good to me! How moist is the vermiculite? How deep is the vermiculite? Where are you incubating them? In an incubator or closet? In the dark?

Kinyongia Boehmei - Breeding Project Log

Little over three weeks in, and all 7 eggs are in good shape! Still white, no mold, no shrinking. I think we’re in for a hatch in the spring. The Vecor incubator has been holding a very consistent temperature. Varies by about 1 degree is all, pretty impressive thus far.

    Chams eggs look good??

The vermiculite is moist enough that you can make a small ball without dissolving. It is about 5 to 6 inches deep. I am incubating them in a closet that is always dark. It is a sliding closet.

    “Unique Temperment”

No I actually passed on the female. I don’t want to be tempted to become a breeder. I wouldn’t want the stress of incubating, raising, and selling off little babies! Two is the best number for me

    Now a Parsons

If that video is from the Chester Zoo, I actually helped them with the incubation and whatnot with their first clutch that they hatched. There was some discussion of the female in this video was actually a OE. I think the fact that the previous female died like that has nothing to do with...
