Country wide shortage of distilled water???

All we have around here are pet stores that have fish, no aquarium stores. I did recently find some distilled water at Walmart and bought a few gallons just to supplement what I make.

I can’t believe that the distilled water at the grocery store went fron $1.19 a gallon to $1.89 a gallon! Unbelievable! I need to learn how to make it myself! Does anyone know how?

    Reptisafe

its 16-32 drops a gallon. or 3 teaspoons, which is 5ml per teaspoon. The easiest way would be a syringe... Suck up 15cc into a 20cc syringe and shoot into the gallon of city water. But really you only need it if you use city water with chloramines in it, or like MissSkittles case you cant...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Interesting! I noticed signs at the grocery store for distilled water at $2.50 a gallon (usually $1.15). They're still ringing up as $1.15, but I am switching to tap and will deal wtih the water stains in spring. Once spring rolls around, my local grocery store has a RO water machine where...

Spraying when light on or after lights go off.

Well i hand mist twice during the day as my chams like drinking off the leaves and the plants do well. Also fog with distilled water at about 4am on medium for 20 minutes to bring humidity up. Have a splitter on the fogger which works great. Both of my chams hate it when the mist hits them so...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Check out industrial supplies. Plenty of spots that sell distilled or DI water. Stop thinking "food" and start thinking "cleaning" or "production".

    How old is my veiled??

...use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? I use a Mistking system, fogger, & dripper. I was using distilled water but then turned to a zero water purifier. I mist 30min before lights come on in the morning for about 1min 30 sec and 30 min after lights go...

    Please Review my Husbandry...Thanks.

My mistaking timer is not working

so I tried contacting mistking over 48 hours ago and I have not gotten a response should I just start hand misting? I can't really hand mist in the morning because I get up at 5:50 for school and by the time his lights turn on the water would be dry. I have a hand mister, so what water other...

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

We got that water distiller from Amazon and love it. We use it for our dart frog, we have a whole house RI system for the chameleons. As for the electric usage I couldn't advise because we have solar panels so it's hard to tell. Good luck!

Does anyone know what this is on one of my plants?

Not much to worry about, if that’s what it is. For some plants like orchids it might be a problem personally I’d not worry. If its affecting your plants negatively you can “cut” the water for your mister with half distilled half tap.

Country wide shortage of distilled water???

Perfect! Anything up to about 50 will have very little dissolved solids in it, you need to go over 180 to be considered "hard" water. My tap water in CA is over 300, so we get lime scale/spotting on everything, all the time. The MK nozzles would clog in a month or less if using that water.

My mistaking timer is not working

When I hand mist I just use tap water and mix in a couple drops of reptile water conditioner. You should be able to find it online :)

    Mistking Troubleshooting

Mist head nozzle same thing. Have u been using tap water and not distilled or ro water. Depending on how bad your water is it can clog mist heads faster then u think.

Spraying when light on or after lights go off.

We were told not to fog, as I live in the uk we have natural high humidity.

    Mistking Spraying, not misting

If you use filtered water like distilled or ro water won't happen. If your using unfiltered water you'll have to clean regularly and replace sooner. I have some heads that have been running for 1.5 years with no cogs. But I only us ro water
