vining plants and how to attach them?

...a vining philodendron (which is often confused with pothos) https://www.thespruce.com/pothos-vs-philodendron-differences-5069402 and a Tradescantia pallida. Both are relatively fast-growers (~1 foot per month). Depending on where you are and if you can find one, Madagascar Jasmine is another.

...be necessary. There are—however—some live chameleon-safe plants that make excellent vines. Golden Pothos Inchplant Philodendron Madagascar Jasmine (if you can find one). The first 3 are quite fast-growing (12" per month). There are lots of good (and relatively inexpensive ways of...

    Custom Cage So Far

Hi and welcome id keep quiet about the Madagascar jasmine some members may want to steal it lol 😆. Have you thought about plant light/ s ? If so you can put your smaller plants up high then move them down gradually as they grow and repot. But if you can get a really good mature centre piece...

    Bloated stomach veiled male chameleon

+1. I'd also get rid of those fake vines for the same reason. There are many live vines that they like, e.g. pothos, philodendron, wandering jew, madagascar jasmine, etc.

Madagascar Jasmin, the perfect living vine

Hard to believe with a name like 'Madagascar-jasmin' that it's not chameleon safe :)

    Enclosure Help and Age Help

Thank you for the suggestions. I will definitely look into those things once I get a bigger enclosure. Still haven’t found a good size.

    How well do they hide?

...at the same spot, completely outside the foliage. Only changes from stick (directly against the screen) or the live vine from the Madagascar Jasmine. However always directly under the fogger curtain. She only hides in foliage when my hand comes in her enclosure and even as quickly comes out...

    Tree in outdoor enclosure

...https://www.chameleonschool.com/safe-plants-for-chameleons/ Hardwoods should be OK, as would any of the "centerpiece" plants on: https://chameleonacademy.com/plants/ They'll grow fairly large outdoors. Another possibility (check growing requirements) is Madagascar Jasmine.

    Time to upgrade

Great idea, ever thought about this frame material (https://fullerscopes.blogspot.com/2016/02/7-f12-istar-folded-refractor-porsa.html) in combination with PVC plates? You directly build a frame underneath to give your enclosure height and store your drainage and misting equipment. Also while...

    Husbandry Review

...well. I would still lose the fake vines on principle. Some live vines that grow quickly are pothos, philodendron, inchplant, and Madagascar jasmine (grows more slowly, but it's endemic to their origin ;)). Since he sleeps there, do you have a layer of river pebbles (too large to swallow)...

Rubber flex tie as fake vines

Oh, I got pretty much all the plants I was after—Dracaena fragrans, Schefflera arboricola, Ficus benjamina, Ficus elastica, Tradescantia zebrina, Philodendron hederaceum, Dracaena trifasciata.... The local dearth of Stephanotis floribunda seems to be geographical; being a tropical plant it...

Madagascar Jasmin, the perfect living vine

In that little pot? Wow, I was joking before, but that is amazing. Impressed. FWIW, I'm doing the same thing with Wandering Jew, a Philodendron, and a Golden Pothos (though right now he's sleeping at the top of a Ficus benjamina). All three are training up an egg crate trellis on the back...

I have but honestly going with pure pvc as it should be easier to seal and I shouldn't have to worry about it deteriorating.
