    Silkworm food...?

They are even cocooning in my ackies terrarium now.:ROFLMAO: I can still buy food in the Netherlands but that's more expencive so I prefer feeding off the adults and using what I have for the babies. I'm not sure what I will do with excess silkies. I've got 2-3months to deside on that once I...

    Humidity

I don't know... I live in the Netherlands :) I get my plants at the plant store. I would just get one from anywhere and shower it off very well, then cover the soil with stones that are big enaugh so your cham can't accidentally eat them.

    New Veiled - Dehydrated/malnourished

Maybe I'm not reading this right, but waxworms are a type of bug. Not a brand. They look like little white grubs. But as the others are saying, I would worry more about rehydrating him, than food. He needs water to get his organs working again so that he will be able to digest food when he is...

Best Location For Chameleon Cage Outdoors

...Curacao on who can issue the health certificate and what needs to be covered or tested for. I wonder if you import directly from the Netherlands if you even need a CITES permit since Curacao is a territory of the Netherlands. Call your department of fish and wildlife in your local...

    EU Cage Questions

...of questions. We have started to the cages for the reptiles we plan on getting/have. For me that’s a Panther Chameleon. I live in the Netherlands (Moved here from the states). Friends here keep telling me I have to do glass because that’s the only way the heat and humidity will stay in...

    He's looking good day 3

Netherlands here, cold too, all mesh for me. I don't live in a tent so the coldest part of the enclosure is room temperature ~21c and that's just fine since the rest of the cage gets heat from the lamp. At night the temperature in the house drops to ~19C but I try to cool down my chameleons...

    Marijuana plants?

Regardless of what the "former" pot heads say eating the leaves does nothing. The marijuana with the THC is in the flower. The leaves are quite nutritious and used for millions of purposes. Your Cham will eat the leaves that give him the most. They know more about what to eat and not eat...

    Project hornworm update!

My veils hate me on Dubia day! They'll eat them, but grudgingly. My guys are much more fond of the soft bodied bugs, so I give them Dubia first and they don't get their squishy treats until they eat the roaches. My wax moths are on the third generation now, they're really very easy. If you have...

Yes! That was another name I was throwing around...Blue Steel. :ROFLMAO: I was a little weirded out by the shipping at first, this little guy is the second I had shipped to me. The first time I was a nervous wreck! Many years ago, I had gotten a Herman's Tortoise and he was shipped to me...

...will start dripping from there eventually. Dont damage the enclosure for it yet since odds are the cham doesnt use the dripper. In the Netherlands the latest 'hype' is to not use D3 suplements at all ever. According to some researchers it would probably do more harm than good since it could...

    When dealing with exporters...

Here's an example of the lengths at which I must at times go to help prove an exporter is legitimate...can you guess the country? In the end, I did not use this exporter due to a conversation I had with a customer of their's in the Netherlands. Thanks, Sam Backwater Reptiles, LLC

    Long time lurker, new member!

Well the LEDs are for plant growth and overall lighting. My schefflera seems to be dropping it's lower leaves and growing nicely up top (I assume that's normal). I have a normal 5.0 UVB linear bulb built into the LED hood and a basking lamp on the back side with temps from 86-90 under basking spot.

    Jackson's Cooling.

Dear all, I am new here and from the Netherlands! I registered here because all Dutch chameleon related forums are 'dead'. As the title suggests I have a (juvenile) Jackson's chameleon. I bought it last April when I bumped in to it looking for Rhampholeon Brevicaudatus at an reptile exchange...
