    I need help

Hey there welcome to the forum. What wattage is the heat lamp your using? Make sure you are not running the fogger during the day. Wet fog and heat can lead to a respiratory infection. Can you post more pics for me? And include the entire set up you have. Per some of your questions. No liquid...

    Need to be concerned?

So first off you are doing really well. Your entire set up is on point along with your husbandry. We can rule out vitamin A or D3 issue. Only a few things I see so I am not going to go through everything because you have learned quickly how to be a keeper and are providing all the main points...

    Substrate, planting plants, laybin?

I really want a bioactive set up I just think it looks nicer but everyone says it’s a horrid idea. I saved your post it’s very informative. She hasn’t started showing colors like that yet. She did at one time have little black spots but she was also upset that the fogger turned in.

Check out my temps & feedback for humidity support

Thank you so much for your insight! I totally don't mind misting for longer each time, that should be no problem at all. I'll try and mist a little closer to when the fog machine goes off but thats usually at midnight and i'm typically sleeping by then...I just need to get my mist system set...

New veiled has bumps on his side / burrowing questions (with tons of photos!)

Hey, nice to hear from you. Thanks for the feedback. I'm shocked he's a boy! We kept going back and forth... I will check Charms' eyes and get back to you. I'll try to get better photos. Charms sometimes digs around in the soil at the bottom of the cage. We don't know why. We don't think he's...

Mesh enclosure has a problem with maintaining heat and humidity, placed shrink film on 3 sides to see if that helps can I go upto a 100w for added hea

Thank you for everything and yes vet said no RI just a slightly irritated eye from trying to get his shed off. He gave me antibacterial cream for his eye. He said most likely he would have not made it very long if I had left him there. I added that history to another comment I did order a fogger...

    Fogger Setup

I apologize I did not register you were using a humidifier vs a fogger....perhaps I read your post too late at night.... An actual reptile fogger is a completely different thing. This is what I use...

    Built up shed...or sunburn?

Hey all, I acquired a Jackson's named Oslo from a friend back in September. When I first got him, I noticed the top of his head between his horns looked a little gray but I figured a few more sheds and proper misting would do the trick. He has since gone through a couple body sheds (all normal...

    How to stop this?

Wow, thank you so so much for you in-depth reply. I really appreciate it. It’s been so hard to find accurate information and how to care for my little guy properly without getting judged lol. I’m taking screenshots and noting everything you said down and will get everything fixed to my best...

New Ambilobe Panther owner looking for right setup

Cool thank you. Yeah I guess I have to see the ambient levels I can achieve here. Right now in summer should be fine humidity wise. But winter with the heat on will be different

    Chameleon too scared to eat

I bought the feeder and it has been set up in his cage for a few days now! I placed it lower like you all recommended and put in smaller bugs. Unfortunately he still will not eat from it. He has looked at it and seen the bugs but I have not seen him try to eat and there are still the same amount...

So wait... are we all fogging now?

Nice! Thanks for doing this for us! When I do not use fans at night this is about the output I get as well ☺️ i think I will try going back to shutting the pc fan off while I fog and see if having the 2 pcs running constantly the rest of the time will be ok. Do you run a ceiling fan or any other...

    Humidity

I have a Jackson’s so low temps and high humidity at night are crucial for him. I fog from the top down because if you try to fog from the bottom up it just doesn’t work, the humid air is too heavy to move up. I try to aim the pvc pipe I use so the fog cascades down over my guy so he’s engulfed...

    New friend

T5 HO installed and she loves it! Pretty big difference in her color from yesterday to today (more of a normal green today), I think she's happy! Mistking is also arriving in the next hour or so. Exciting day :) once we upgrade her canopy/branches this weekend and install the mistking, I will...

    Husbandry Review

Hello again. I've sent pics and gotten feedback on my enclosure, but I'd like to get a quick husbandry check just to ease my new cham paranoia. I have kept chameleons in the past, but the last one passed away about 15 years ago. I've been getting advice along the way, and felt that I had things...

4 month update on my Cham and enclosure

4 months ago I posted this thread asking for help and wow did you guys help 😊, https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/is-this-set-up-right-for-a-yemen-chameleon.192635/ As you’ll see or remember from that thread I basically had no idea how to house a chameleon and not much knowledge on...

Veiled Chameleon has a purple tint

Cage Type - It is a ZooMed Reptibreeze Reptile cage, 2’2’4. That size is perfect! Once he’s bigger (or before then if you want), I’d look into cages (diy or commercially made) that are 4’x2’x4’ tall or bigger, as what you have is considered the bare minimum for an adult veiled. 4’x2’x4’ tall (or...

    T. Hoehnelii Hydration Strategy

That hydration protocol was taken directly from the hoehneli breeder I was creating the care guide with. It is obviously a functional method, but you could be effective with a whole lot less water if you extend the fogging hours during the night (say start with 1AM to 6AM and adjust as needed)...

    New member husbandry review

Welcome to the forum, we've all had our different experiences with caring for our chameleons; but, what matters most is that you care about them enough to reach out and ask questions! Your Chameleon - 1 year old male veiled chameleon named Ollie and he’s been in my care since January of 2025...
