Veiled Chameleon not drinking water and moving slow

Can you upload a picture of him and his enclosure? How big is his enclosure? Do you have a 6% UV light, heat lamp, and grow light? Does he have a lot of plants to hide in and branches to chill on? Also, his eyes are sunken because he is dehydrated. Has he been closing his eyes during the day...

    Digging while sleeping

Cage Info: Cage Type - Glass all around, screen on top. 22 inches length wise, 17 1/2 width As you’ve already been advised, an all screen enclosure is better for new keepers. It’s pretty easy to enclose the back or sides if needed, but with glass there’s no way to modify for your environment...

    Thoughts on setup

Wife and I are new Panther chameleon owners. We did a lot of research on here, some YouTubers, other websites and… Reddit. My wife uses that more than I do as I’m a traditional forums guy. That said, according to them, my setup which should be okay is a death trap there so I wanted to get...

    Another good price on ReptiBreeze

My iPad is dying a slow painful (for me) death, so I’m a bit limited on what I can look for on deals. Starting with forum sponsors first. If not listed, I could not find any sales or deals. However, it’s always great to support our wonderful sponsors. Besides supporting our forum, they are all...

Which enclosure should I get for my veiled chameleon? Links please! In need of help :(

Hi and welcome. :) I can give you Amazon links to various items, but usually Amazon is specific by each country and my links will be from USA Amazon. At least though you’ll know what to look for. If you want, you can post links of what you find on your country’s Amazon and we can tell you if...

75% humidity ok for veiled cham

Welcome to the forum Not ideal, IMO/E, but they can work—others here have. https://www.chameleonforums.com/search/1651739/?q=exo+terra+terrarium&o=relevance From https://chameleonacademy.com/veiled-chameleon-care/ Doesn't have to be perfect—these are targets. A basking light will likely take...

    Cham in 18x18x24 Exo?

That can be easily addressed by making the fan temperature or humidity controlled—or both. The guys at Coolerguys set me up for my beardie enclosure. Those less technology-challenged than myself could probably just go directly to Amazon for what would be needed.

    Weird lizard?

That's ~11 gal. Recommended size for a Mediterranean house gecko is 20 gal. Some sources say 10 gal., but I've never been one for minimum sizes when it comes to living arrangements (probably from living in trying to live in small apartments). I see they make several in the 18" x 18" x 24"...

    Cham in 18x18x24 Exo?

Welcome to the forum. Only the smaller species (e.g. carpet chameleons, pygmy species). Of the 3 major species in the pet trade today (Veiled/Yemen, Panther, Jackson's), all require a minimum of 24 x 24 x 48, and 48 x 24 x 48 is recommended. https://chameleonacademy.com/veiled-chameleon-care/...

is glass enclosure safe for my veiled chameleon

It also depends on is it a glass aquarium or terrarium. Granted not all terrariums are build equal either. The Exo-Terra or Zoo Med ones have ventilation straps allowing air flow & exchange.

Very helpful, thank you! On the fans, I have two there with one pushing air in and the other pulling it out. Should I just have one (or switch to two) pulling air out to create the negative air pressure within to stimulate the chimney effect? I’ll go ahead and move the UV down to the top and am...
