    Marijuana and chameleons?

Just brain storming. Not thinking of doing it. Even if I wanted to it’s ilegal here. But could you have marijuana/cannabis plant in your chameleons enclosure? Is it toxic for them?

    Marijuana and chameleons?

I live in California and work in cannabis and have grown it a few times. I wouldn not recommend putting anything living aside from mantids or lady bugs on or near them for pest control. Like many other plants the sticky sap and resinous nature of the plant would be less than ideal for anything...

    Marijuana and chameleons?

Very talented! It’s a beautiful drawing! And thanks for the warning, I’ve never grown such a plant and knowing this makes me a bit hesitant. And I’m sure any type of smoke near a chameleon is a big NO. ☺️

    Marijuana and chameleons?

I’d only consider growing in my enclosure if it were best for the plant and if my mother needed it I would try to grow for her since I’m her caregiver and the dispensary prices are extremely high here. I don’t think I’d be successful with the high demands of cannabis and with the comments here I...

    Abnormal shedding

Hey, just ditch the plastic bushy ivy and cannabis, you don’t want your Cham to eat it and it is a much better idea to save for real plants instead. I also don’t know if anyone mentioned it before, but the fake grass/carpet on the bottom of your cage is also not good because it can become a...

I think we need to get rid of the word 'bioactive'

in the cannabis industry, they call it living soil. I always liked that... anyhow I was curious about a soil health issue ...it seems that springtime has unleashed gnats upon many a keeper and I am trying a few options one was nematodes, which seemed extreme but it wasn't ruled out ( ordered it...

    Tentative habitat setup. Feedback appreciated

It sounds like a pregnant mother. Whatever she puts in her body, transfers over to baby. If that is a drug, baby is affected even after being born. DNA could have been damaged which can then continue to following generations. Might be a stretch but thats how I think of it

    Tentative habitat setup. Feedback appreciated

That's not the case but depends on what kind of systemic pesticides are used and how nasty they are. For example it's been a big issue in Canadian cannabis where people bought clones from nurseries and failed pesticide testing on buds from all the clones over 3 months later. Mind you this is 3...

    plants

The ingredients look to be very similar to what is in mine. If it works for your other plants ;) I am sure it will work for these lol. But I would consider adding an inch of hydroballs to the bottom of the pots. Works really well for drainage if you have a plant that is right under a misting...

    Marijuana and chameleons?

I found one source on Quora that made this claim, but it's not true. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6770351/ See also: cannabinoid receptors in reptiles (Google Scholar Search) There has also been much discussion in the archives...
