Veiled Chameleon randomly closes one eye while basking.

Update: I ended up getting a golden pathos from Lowe’s. I added the new vines in and replaced the old vine with Flukers smooth vines and made sure that he had two seperate basking spots for heat and UVB. The new bulb is coming in tomorrow. Morty also started shedding again today as well.

What's your favorite plant to use? [VIDEO]

...They provide tons of coverage, lots of leaves to hide and drink from, and lots of pathways, along with being able to fill up a cage nicely. They're extremely sturdy, which is great for adult/bigger chams, and super easy, a great beginner and main plant! A pothos/philodendron is a close second

...irritation. Oxalates can also be known to bind to calcium, however the ones in the plants are already bound and so that isn’t a concern. Philodendron is very similar in its toxicity, so can also be considered (veiled) safe and I’ve been using it with no problems. To increase the plant...

    Daytime lights

...T5 uvb? Plant lights will depend on what types of plants you’re looking to keep alive. If you have primarily houseplants like pothos or philodendron, any basic plant light will do. If you are wanting to keep something tropical and sun loving like hibiscus alive, you’ll need to splurge on...

Gout- Herp vet did not offer treatment

Have you tried pothos or philodendron? Both are just about the easiest plants to grow and have wonderful long vines that can be wrapped around branches as they grow. They don’t really need any special lighting, but if you give them a plant light, they’ll really thrive.

    Feeding

...I’d like to suggest that you remove the water fountain. As you can see, it’s very easily contaminated by the poo and is a risk for making your chameleon sick. Are you able to get any live plants? Maybe someone has a pothos or philodendron you can get some clippings from to start plants from?
