I'm so sorry to hear that... My first cham died of cancer that had ate up his insides with only a tiny nodule appearing before I found it - he died 3 days later. Hugs from afar. Losing them really sucks, but hopefully you can rest somewhat easier knowing that you did what you could for him. <3

Yeah that's generally my thinking. I just want the little guy to live his best life, and since he's a representation of chameleons to soooo many people, them knowing what a healthy one looks like is a valuable asset. I'll write something up and send it their way. :)

That's a major sign of obesity in a chameleon. That he's got some rolls around his neck indicate that as well. :/ He's probably just on a routine reptile feeding schedule for that whole building and gets too much food.

I would get a fresh fecal and see if the vet will do a test. If she's been eating properly and has proper lighting and temps and humidity, then my guess would be parasites.

So she looks very underweight, dehydrated, and not well off. Her eyes are sunken and her casque looks very thin - so do her front legs. Did the vet do a fecal test for parasites?

Turn the light back to full strength. UVB is ESSENTIAL for her body to do what it needs to do. You've gotten some other good advice, but I agree - vet visit is the most important. Were you able to get her in?

Your humidity is good for a Panther, and night temps are good. Your basking is too warm - it should be about 80-85. How are you measuring it?

Yeah it can be pretty stressful. It's tough because they hide their illnesses SO well. You know your pet better than any of us though - use your best judgement for what you choose. :)

I'd urge a vet visit though if you can. Eyes closed at the bottom of the enclosure are pretty hefty signs of something not going well. :/

THey absolutely expire. They lose potency after roughly a year. I'd replace them and see if that helps. Make sure your UVB is fresh as well.

I did - it was with my first cham. I got a biopsy done and unfortunately he died a few days later. The results later confirmed that he had a form of cancer already deeply rooted in his guts. I've attached a picture of the bump on his leg, and the biopsy results. Unfortunately he passed too fast...
