    Puffy bloody eye lids

You said…”It sounds like they believe it could be a heart or circulation issue. It’s not looking good for little chef”…did the vet say why all that blood might be in the eye turrets and yet be a heart condition? Why does he think it’s a heart condition? Does he just think it’s a clotting thing...

    Puffy bloody eye lids

What kind of vitamin A were they giving to your chameleon? PrEformed or prOformed? Did they look at the “blood” removed from the eyes under a microscope? You said…”She thought maybe she has a blood clotting disorder.”…you mean that it’s not clotting like it should? Is the chameleon wild...

    WaxMoths And A 2-Month-Old

Waxworms eat wax and honey from the hive and will even devour the wood the hive are made from. They also eat plastic and other things that would not be a great idea to pass on to our chameleons. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20240419-the-worms-that-eat-through-plastic Also, from what I’ve...

Is it MBD or old age?

You said…”Then I saw him a few times hanging by his back legs or tail. Then he started lingering at the bottom a lot.”…this could be from MBD… being further away from the UVB…but can also be just a decline in health. You said…”a few times he’s grabbed his own legs”…this is usually a sign of...

    Gaping mouth

Definitely chunky. Looks like she’s producing eggs..and quite a lot of them. I hope she will get through it ok. I hope feeding her as much as you’ve been doing hasn’t pushed her into reproductive issues.

    Gaping mouth

Please post some photos of all of her.How old is she? Does she have an egg laying bin in her cage? What’s the basking temperature? Is she sitting in the basking area when she’s doing it? How much do you feed her in a week? What supplements do you use and how often for each. I’m particularly...

    Spiders…

I would also avoid lady bugs. No monarch butterflies either. Also…if an insect eats poisonous plants, then don’t feed it to your chameleon.

    Spiders…

Daddy long legs are nocturnal…so that’s part of your problem. I’ve heard that they don’t like citrus..so maybe that would help…but how is it going to get out of the cage to “escape” the citrus smell?
