Does your room temperature fluctuate. Because if it does it will fluctuate your basking temp as well. This is an issue for me, as my apartment does not have a thermostat, but instead a dial that has a 1-5 setting, which will fluctuate the room temp when the temp outside changes. I...
My setup
I did the classic cross fire setup, with one in each corner. I go the oversized washers in order to attempt to stop the screen hole from enlarging.
So far it seems to really be doing the trick and getting the whole cage misted.
Sorry I will have to post a second pic for the other...
Definitely not an expert on mushrooms. But to me mushroom are fungus, so regardless if they are poisonous or not they release spores, which can be harmful for respiration, especially in an enclosed spaces, such as a Cham enclosure. I would say at the least repot.
It definitely matters for chameleons. Too much is toxic to them. I believe that they are more sensitive than other reptiles and it can cause kidney issues. Take a look at the care resources to the left. They will tell you the same thing.
Honestly the best way to decide would be to review the care sheets for each type of chameleon and see if the conditions will line up.

First off awesome ideas. I have been looking for humidifiers as I thought that would be a good option. Thanks for the tip.
I bought my chameleon from Winnipeg Reptiles and get the majority of my feeders from there are well. They have the widest variety that I have found in the city.
Maybe?
I don't have a ton of experience because my girl has only laid twice. But it normally takes her three weeks of starting to dig and stopping, before she fully commits and lays. She will even stop eating for extended periods while this is happening.
Also are you checking on her too...
Perfect we just got an ikea about a year ago. I will check it out this weekend.
How did you cut holes in the PVC bottom. Multi small holes near the centre I would assume? Don't want to wreck it is all.
Switching up feeders
I agree with Kath, try switching up feeders. I know when my girl is getting picky, horned worms do the trick very time. They can't resist.
I have heard great things about silkworms as well, but have never used them myself.
I was looking for something like a coffee table or a stand, but haven't had any luck finding anything with the right dimensions yet.
For the most part I agree with you. My last cage would dry out before the next misting. The only thing is I live in canada. The indoor heating in the winter...
