If you have anything else to offer him you might try that. Variety is always good!! He looks big enough for small superworms, butterworms, definitely wax or meal worms.
Sanding the inside of that bottle with that sand paper with make the plastic rough enough for the crickets to climb. Make sure to wash any left over sand and debris out of the bottle though.
My male panther doesn't like crickets at all. He is happy eating dubias, superworms, butterworms, the occasional meal and waxworms but when he sees a cricket he gets angry. He will walk over to his feeding cup and look in, if there are crickets he fires up a bit and looks at them angrily but if...
Right on. My boy loves to climb high so I'm sure he will appreciate it when you get a chance to upgrade.
I love that guys colors so much. Where did you get him?
Where do you get your backgrounds printed and what material do you use?
I've bought some from petco/petsmart but its kinda more expensive than it should be there!
Some people attach a funnel under the holes they drill, or use a piece of pvc and direct that into a bucket. There are a lot of methods, I looked through the enclosure part of the forum to get ideas for my setup.
Everything about the way Parsonii Chameleons look is amazing, their colors and patterns and all their features are breathtaking!!! Beautiful girl you have there!! so jellow!! (jealous)
That is very interesting!!!! My Panther does it all the time too and i also thought she was drinking. Before my girl will put four feet on a surface she seems to do the tongue test... "i must taste it for safety..."
Ya, if we could we would all let our chams run free!!! :p
To get around the space issue what i did was run a fake vine out of my cage up to the ceiling then got a few pothos and hung them in a planter from the ceiling, it actually doesnt take up too much space, but i dont know your situation...
Drainage is essential in my opinion because without drainage or being able to allow your cage to fully dry out between mistings you risk mildew or mold forming and that can lead to serious problems with your chameleon. even if mold does not form if there is water pooling in places it will build...
Sometimes a wood cabinet isn't the best thing to use. I swapped from my wood cabinet to a metal.frame cabinet from target that was 15$. It fits my cage perfectly and I didn't have to drill holes in the cabinet.
I'm not saying don't use what you have, but I decided I didn't want to drill...
Do you have the ability to make a small free range for him? My girl would roam her vines like crazy, as soon as I made her a free range all the exercise she started getting really increased her apetite. Does he ever rub his nose on the side of the cage? Sometimes they want to explore :D
Your chameleon is such a handsome fellow!!!!
