    Vet dropped my cham

I recently had to give one of mine the same med and even though I have decades of experience giving injections to humans, I hated and was nervous about giving them to my cham. I found that taking him out of his enclosure for it was the worst for the both of us. So, I left him in his enclosure...

    Vet dropped my cham

Your guy should be okay. It’s possible that she didn’t truly drop him, but that he may have become overly stressed and threw himself to the floor as a last ditch attempt to escape the giant predator. Chameleons will do this when in trees and while it freaks us out, they are usually just fine.

    Which feeders?

It took me a minute to ‘get’ @jamest0o0 joke. Bsfl are essentially maggots and can be black. 😂

    Is today the day?

I’m finding it funny as I can relate all too well. 😂 💗

    power outage

In case of prolapse, soaking in a sugar water helps to shrink the prolapsed tissues. While prolapses aren’t a terribly common occurrence, it’s not a bad addition to have in a first aid kit. I’m surprised by the number of homes I’ve been in where they don’t have sugar.

    power outage

I’m not sure how you would plan for a tornado or power outage , since those are random surprise events. However, some keep a ‘bug out’ bag at the ready in case of needing to move your chameleon for evacuation. A mesh pop up hamper with zipper closure makes for a convenient emergency enclosure...

    Now a Parsons

That is crazy cute! Reminds me of the cute little kids wearing only their superhero mask and baggy diaper. 😂 🤗

Chameleon can’t use tongue, any good feeders I could use to prevent crickets from escaping into the enclosure?

Silkworms are awesome staple feeders and up there with roaches for nutrition. Superworms are great for treats as they are quite fatty and more like a ‘candy’ for reptiles. Supers can bite, but usually chameleons know enough to aim for their head. Silkworms do not bite. Another great feeder for...

Not to be a jerk, but I am curious…looking back on your previous posts, you have had so many issues and problems with breeding, so why are you still doing this? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Have you provided absolute privacy for her? If she sees anyone or anything else makes her feel unsafe, she will stop digging. There is only a limited amount of time that her hormones which tell her to dig are active. She may be having a physiological problem. Most definitely a vet visit asap is...

    Crazy chameleon dreams?

I can’t be the only one who has the craziest of dreams about my chameleons. I’ve had quite a few and most are awful in one way or another (massively over-populated bug colonies escaping everywhere, chams being stolen, the tiniest most awful enclosures, bizarre chameleon shows/contests, etc). The...

    Veiled Chameleon fin

Hi there. I’m guessing that your chameleon has mbd, which is causing his casque to collapse. This is serious and it would be best to go over all of your husbandry in order to make sure everything is correct and/or corrected. If he indeed does have mbd, it is eventually fatal. It’s hard to tell...

    Which feeders?

Of course, my favorite is silkworms. Who can be afraid of the soft gentle white caterpillars that move slowly? 😊 They can be a bit difficult to keep alive, so for back up maybe have some superworms. While they are very fatty and just for treats, they do last a long time and are not terribly...

    re homing-selling cham

I’m afraid I don’t, but I’ll bet that @jannb knows someone/somewhere. @lenalee I’m going to suggest that you check with your local exotics vets offices. You may be able to find an interested vet tech. While I know all too well how much we invest in the needed items for our chameleons, it’s...

Chameleon can’t use tongue, any good feeders I could use to prevent crickets from escaping into the enclosure?

I like and use the shooting gallery. https://tkchameleons.com/products/shooting-gallery?variant=30018608595032 I don’t think any feeder is 100% escape proof, but this one is great at keeping the bugs contained. Except for bsfl, which are masters at wriggling between the feeder and screen. I...
