Yeah, beg her if need be. She doesn't even have to touch him if she's freaky that way. Just open up the lid and set in the cage. At least have a dripper going for him if she doesn't know how to mist.
Thanks, I hoped it would be ok. Here's some pix of new enclosure. don't look too close at the construction....it's the first thing I've built from scratch...The back is made from pegboard, hand painted with leaves and branches. I used it because it gets quite cold here in the winter and thought...
I've upgraded Igor to a larger enclosure that I built. I use a Repti-sun 5.0 tube. My question is: Is enough UVB getting through the mesh on top? It's standard window screen mesh. Not the metal kind but the plastic kind. Anyone?
Wow...that's even worse than the time a grandma I know (NOT a friend, mind you) showed me pix of her new grandson posed with a beer and a cigarette!! I was speechless! Some people's stupidity never fails to amaze.
I noticed you had the rubber plant on the list. I had a thread the other day and was warned NOT to use the rubber plant because of the sap if stems or leaves break.
I have a baby veiled in one. It's on top of a 20 gal. long. I'm currently building a larger cage but for the meanwhile, it's great. I rarely see my baby going into the aquarium part so it's working out great. I wouldn't recommend it for a permanent enclosure, for baby time it's good.
Thanks again for all the great info. I will definitely NOT be using my rubber plant in the cham cage. I just was thinking because of the size of it, it might look cool in there. But NO....will not be using it. Thanks to all...Peace.
Ok...I knew the sap was yucky, but didn't know it was toxic to chams. FLchams has it listed on their safe plant list!?!?!? Weird. Thank you. I won't use it.
I have a rubber tree plant and am wondering if I can put in my chams (veiled) enclosure? I haven't heard one way or the other. Thanks in advance. Peace.
The spiders kinda freak me out, but the rest are beyond words. Simply amazing photography. If he doesn't, he should do this for a living. Very talented.
Isn't the ambient temp a little low? Max of 65? Depending on where you live, does it get colder in the winter? I thought veiled chams needed a higher everyday ambient temp and slightly cooler at night. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. I really would like to know.
