I dont agree with paying for the expensive stuff when you can easily repliacte the same if not better for a 10th of the price.

See my post for my DIY misting system - Fully automated and wokrs a treat!!!
Head bobbing is used by a cham to claim terrritory. If he sees another Cham he may bob his head to show a sign of him owning the territory. Colours are the best judgement. If he is doing the head bobbing whilst he is bright coloured then he is most probably 'displaying' to what he believes to be...
opening his mouth in braod terms means he is venting (releasing hot air) to cool down thus suggesting that he is too hot.
If you have him in a glas tank then remove him at once!!! :)
I agree somewhat however....
If you free range your cham then get used to his sleeping patterns (mine are regular as clockwork) and move him before he sleeps. Wking a cham can have sometimes fatal effects and it is important that you recognise their lifestyle and keep everything regular to...
I Agree.....
However, the more the cham is 'tolerant' of the human then the less stress it causes. I did not at any point say that handling them was fun. However, it is wrong to say that when a cham scurrys down the tree onto your hand you would be a fool to harshly pull your hand away.

I totally agree!!!!!
I would recommend this type of setup for a few Vivs and possibly a few mists a day.
My humidifier is adjustable so you can turn the intensity up and down to get the precise amount of mist.
rule one......
Dont move a female cham... can put her off and make her become egg bound.
My recommendation is..... Try to cover her cage so she cannot see you or any distractions!!!! She will eventually lay the rest of the clutch :)
HI Carlton,
yes the pipes are fully detachable. Every month i disconnect the piping from the humidifier and connect it to a non-chemical steam cleaner and leave it pumping hot steam through for around ten minutes.
I have had this setup for three years and never any bacteria and or green...
After a long while keeping Veiled's, panthers and Carpet Chams my other half (who i have tried for ages to get into chams) has decided that they like pygmy chams. I have researched the species a LOT over the past couple of weeks.
I just wondered if anyone kept them? If so how do you keep...
I will upload some pics in about half a hour.
I glued the 19mm pipe to the humidifier's outlet on the top.
Drilled 19mm holes in the top of the Vivs
Run the pipe into the three vivs using a series of T connectors.
Photos to follow.
Although i fully agree that Chams should only be handled rarely.
I believe that it is truely upto the cham itsself. Flo (12 month Panther female) love it when i wonder into the room, she gets straight up from the branch and wanders down onto my hand!!!
however, on the other hand a couple...
HI all,
Just thought i would tell you all about my DIY misting system that have managed to put together for less than £25!!!
I have connected an argos Humidifier (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4250344/Trail/searchtext%3EHUMIDIFIER.htm) to some 19MM piping with a couple...
HI Kbullock,
This depends on your budget i suppose. I only feed Silkies once in a while as they tend to cause runny poop im my chams. However i feed Supers every few days and my chams cant get enough of them, just be careful as they are very fatty!
Just try keep it varied thats the trick! :)
