I'm not letting him suffer by choice! I've called atleast a dozen vets & have gotten no where.

I've been trying to get a hold of a vet. The guy that I usually go to is out of town. I've been thumbing through the phone book trying to find another one. No luck so far. Most of them don't do reptiles or the reptile vet has the day off. Just my luck! He's almost a year old.

He's laying on his side on the bottom of the cage. He was quiet for a long time, just laying there with his eyes closed. Now he's awake & hissing again.

No, I was very careful when placing his cage so that he can't see any of the others or himself. I was gone for a short while to get the kids on the bus, I came back to the same thing. I talked to my bf who gets up really early & he said that he was on the bottom & hissing then too.

Yeah, it's from this morning. If I go near the cage he starts hissing madly. other wise he's just sitting there lokking all pissed off & leaning against the pot. He still hasn't tried to make his way up to bask. I'm at a loss!

It's been at least an hour since lights on & he hasn't even tried to make his way to his basking area as usual. :(

Ok, I just got up & now he is sitting on the bottom of his cage hissing like mad again.

Nothing out of the ordinary was around. He has fallen back to sleep, but with a really bad look on his face. He still has his chin all puffed out. I think he fell asleep angry.

I'm sure I won't be able to catch them so I'll put some crix food in there so they are biting him. Thanks.

I thought of that too. I did notice 2 crix in there.

No, right now he's at room temp which is about 70f. He seems to have settled down. He's not hissing anymore but he's not relaxed either. He's still all puffed up & he's got his eyes all bulged out. He's in his normal sleeping spot except he's upside down, holding on with his tail & back feet...

I tried that & he just kept hissing. I think he has settled down a little bit now. I haven't heard him in a couple minutes. He's got his eyes closed again but his mouth is wide open.
