just an update,
I noticed tonight that he has not been eating like he was, if at all. The hemipeen receded into the vent (which is a huge releif), but had a reddish black crusty stringy thing hanging. Back into the shower he went, got him nice and warm and rubbed off the stringy thing. just a...
Thanks! yeah this youtube thing is an addicting little hobbie, but proves to be a great educational tool, for visual learning and refrence.
Thanks for watching btw!
Great analogy! thats exactly what it looks like and what he is doing. I have some video of it when he first did it, and before I put him in the shower the last time. It looks a healthy red, he has just had it out since the shower, and was curious when I should start to panic. I was documenting...
so disco is about a 9-10 months old sambava, and has been showing signs of coming into sexual maturity. letting his hemipeen hang out for example. The other day he seemed swollen and it looked a little black and kind of shriveled. I took him into a warm shower where he almost instantly dropped...
You think so? I am eager to see how she turns out. It will definitly be exciting when the time comes. Like I said I have been watching "cortez", and waiting for a clutch for awhile now. He looks like someone threwup a box of crayola.
If a breeding does happen one day ;) I will definitly...
you read my mind man! Yeah Disco is turning out to be a beautiful Sambava, and pairing him with a kammers (if she is willing) would turn out some real beauties.
Chameleons really are like potato chips!
My female sambava "cortez' baby finally came! Great shape and doing fine.
She is a really mellow yellow color. She seems hyper and very active. Got a video from her arrival, linked below. But when I can get some good pics I will share her progress. exciting!
Great job over there at kammers...
Thanks for the heads up! He is in a huge cage so if he gets to hot from his lamp he is able to move away...but how do chams usally obtain respitory infections?
Disco is by no means under fed...I keep crickets in his cage, because he keeps eating them. He is not on a hunger strike, but sometmimes when he is walking he looks like he is "sucked up" or really skinny. Other times he looks like a cow on a branch. Do you all ever notice your chameleons...
Anyone else pick up a Cortez Kammer baby?! I seen all his males are sold, was wondering if anyone here got some. I got a female, pretty excited! You have to love Cortez's colors...the ideal Sambava imo!
Seeco, this is genius for outside basking cages! I was just wondering today what I will use for a basking cage this summer (I am fennin for spring)....you answered that question, but what are you using in that first pic, what kind of green wire meshing is that?
