Yeah, don't mount the bulb along the side. It isn't natural and can stress some chams. The few bucks you will save by getting that bulb and mounting it the way you want to isn't worth the risk IMHO.
Well from a strictly financial point of view, popping the eggs, will kill off an unknown number of males. Only a small percentage of people want females. If the batch is more than he can handle, then wait until they are born and cull 2/3rds of the females. This is just financially smarter.
Unless you run bleach water through the waterfall as it's running, there is next to no way to ensure you are cleaning it good enough. And it would need to be done almost daily. The problem with using bleach is, it can be difficult to completely clean out of the water fall's motor and internal...
But.......they.....have eggs. :(
What's really funny is that I was linked this from Kingsnake. I was looking at an add that had been removed and this site was in the cluster of links for you to check out. Kinda going all out on a joke to have it linked on KS...I don't think anything gets...
Ah I see what you're saying now. 700 is still a really good price. The main breeder of these, and the largest captive bred group in the US, Argama International, is currently trying to sell all their stock. And 900 seems to be the going price for a baby, adults are in the 1200-1500 ball park...
It's because most, doctors offices don't have a lab of any type, let alone even a microscope in their office. They also get sent to time out by the insurance companies for constantly scheduling lab tests.
I was about to suggest this, and don't have one and never read or seen the instructions. Common sense is a wonderful thing. :p
I do wonder though, if the res is allowed to run dry, doesn't it need to be reprimed?
Was linked to this through kingsnake. This can't be real.

Notice at the bottom. "Really Big Lizards,Inc. is a division of AprilFirst BioEngineering." lol
LMAO
Lucky bamboo is toxic. Regular bamboo isn't but will grow too large for the cage in a really short time. But it is a great material to use, cut into lengths, to build a scaffolding type structure.
You are new here. No one is trying to beat on you. We just want to make sure your cham has the best possible care.
So please fill this out in as much detail as possible, that way we can see if there are any other issues that may need to be addressed.
Cage Type - Describe your cage...
500 each is a steal! Babies are often in the 900 range. There was a guy at the Daytona show asking 2500 each for adults.
Great pics, looks like it was an awesome show. Better than what I've heard is the norm for this show.
6 months give or take. They sometimes want something larger a little sooner. The cham will let you know. When they want something larger they usually start paceing the cage and pawing at the walls.
Like Jann, I think he may be a bit skinny, and on top of that. The loose skin could also indicate slight dehydration....But again, it very well could just be the way he is laying. He looks healthy otherwise. And yeah he is a looker. If this is an order from afar situation I would ask for more...
