i think it's called bran in english, and i heard it's good for feeders.
and i gut load them with fruits and veggies, do i need anything else ? supplements or anything ?
and why the high humidity ?
so i bought last week some superworms and the guy who gave them to me put some chicken food (i think) into the box. they seemed happy and moving around a lot. i would put their food in there and eat it and bury it and stuff.
after a couple of days i start seeing lots of water drips, and high...
we all know that what the bugs eat, that's what the chameleon eats, so i think it's more effective if the bugs actually eat the calcium, cuz dusting has pros an cons, and the biggest con, for me at least, is that ... until he actually eats them, 70-80% of the calcium fells off from the bugs...
god, the bugs and worms are so expensive in US.
i'm from Romania, and here i buy ... aprox. 100 dubias for 25RON, which is less than 7$. and i say 100 cuz this time i bought lots of adults (i want to start breeding).
normally i can buy 200-300 medium or little ones for like 5$
i'm giving to my dubias and superworms lots of fruits and vegetables (apples, carrots, potatoes, mangos, etc) and i also try to dust the fruits and vegies with calcium (no vitamines) before they eat it.
if i'm dusting every day with calcium (without D3) and twice a month (first post i said twice...
i'm not from U.S. and i don't know what LLL is and i'm pretty sure i don't have it here.
the multivitamin is from JBL (terravit multivitamines)
i'm pretty sure this one
http://www.jbl.de/en/reptile-products/detail/2547/jbl-terravit-powder
and i'm getting him outside every sunday + the UVB...
so i have a problem, i'm looking for calcium with D3 since i got my chameleon (most in pharmacies cuz our pet stores are pretty lame with stuff only for cats/dogs) and i didn't find it nowhere, so my question is :
if i have calcium and dust on his bugs every day + multivitamines (lots of A and...
my crafting level is very low ^^
i'll just let it drip until she gets it, or, if not, use the old method, lick the leaves.
i won't let her drink from my hand anymore, bad habit
well, i witnessed a shed like 2 days ago and didn't see that happening.
being very grumpy, lethargic, scratching on leaves and branches, no apetite, YES, but shaking or moving odd i haven't seen or heard off, but if your vet says it's normal, you should not be worried.
the shed normal doesn't...
i know about feeding and dusting. i won't listen to somebody who writes like that, anyway ...
i went with him to the vet today and he said he doesn't know what can be before he sees it, so if i see him do that again i will take a photo and go to him again.
he said is not an internal injury cuz...
looks good, nice setup.
put a UVA lightning bulb (beside the UVB) on top, for a basking spot, and in the lower part of the cage it will be cooler, so the temp should be fine.
monitor the temp on the highest level so he/she won't get burned.
fine the perfect temps for your type of chameleon...
yeaah... they are very silly, she doesn't actually drink, she is trying to figure it out where the rain comes from, but no success :)) he's pulling the wire but no drinking, only from leaves and walls
edit : and smeagol is an awesome name :))) i named mine shrek before i knew it's a SHE... i...
now i'm pretty sure it's a SHE, but i got stuck on using the 'HE' cuz i 'ordered' a boy. now she's getting bigger and no bump on her back leg, so i'm 90% she's a SHE, yes.
