Baby male veiled does not open eyes?

You say it is not relevant, but you are starting out down the wrong path. You need regular calcium with NO D3 every feeding, multivitamin 2 times a month, and calcium WITH D3 2 times a month. This is the link to the Veiled care sheet. Please read over it and make sure you follow it. This is...

Very young Panther girl stopped eating

Your supplements are off and need to be changed. You need to use Calcium with out D3 daily. Calcium with D3 2 times a month. Multivitamin 2 times a month. Your temps are way too high and they are pretty much baking your chams. You want your humidity to be in the 50 - 70 range. I have...

9 month old veiled isn't opening his eyes.

The vet may have told you that, but that vet is wrong. You need to follow the care sheet which is what I quoted in my previous post. If your vet is telling you otherwise, it is time to find a new vet as they probably don't know much about chameleons at all.

Nimh had his first taste of silkworms today

So my order of small silkworms came in today so I put a few in Nimh's cage. The second that I took my hand out of the cage he booked it towards the worms and gobbled them up right away. How do you all feed the silkworms to your chams? Do you put them in the feeder cup if you use one or do...

    Winnie is settling in nicely,

Every time you post pictures of your chams, you make me want to get a 2nd one. I know I have only had my little guy for just over 1 week, but I think it would be cool to have a more grown up one right now as well. The wife keeps telling me "NO" though for the time being.

Newbie Lighting Question: Want the best for my Veiled

The one with the Arcadia 6% and the 6500 light is a great combo. That way if you have live plants which most will suggest having, they will get great light to grow with.

Plants that ACTUALLY GROW without problems

Why are so many people on here not using a plant light? Just getting a dual bulb T5-HO hood and having 1 UVB light and 1 6.5K light will solve your like plant issues. Plants want light and providing them good light is an easy thing to do. They will thrive with a nice 6.5k light shining...

You need a basking light, but for that you can use a standard household incandescent bulb in a dome with a ceramic base.

    Hibiscus plant problems..Ants and mold

This is why when I replanted my 4' unbrella plant that I washed it down to the bare roots system. I then used a pot with some nice drainage holes and the plant just drains into my drainage bin for the cage. It is a great system I have going on.
