For those using a full glass enclosure, how are you cleaning them? We're in the process of getting one set up, and i'm not worried about cleaning it now with some windex, as we're not getting the Cham for a bit, but when it's up and running we do want to keep the glass as clean as possible.
Any...
We're thinking of this: https://www.costco.ca/Trinity-4-Tier-NSF%C2%AE-Black-Shelving-Rack.product.100144090.html
the shelf size will hold the terrarium with some wiggle room, and the 800lb weight is more than enough. If we go this route, I would only be using 3 of the 4 shelves. One at the...
We're looking at setting up in the living room. Just got the enclosures (got two, using one for now). We're planning on getting a Jackson, and I want the enclosure off the floor. If I can get a 24" stand, the top of the cage would be about 6' off the floor. They're 48"x48"19".
We've bought our terrariums. Yeah. They are 48"x48"x19" all glass, and weight about 123.3 lbs. I don't want them to site on the floor, so I'm looking for a recommendation for a stand. Metal, wood, at this point anything is on the table. But, I need room to store a water jug and the pump for the...
The hard tap water is a concern. But the lack of minerals in distilled may not be the best for the animal. I can get spring water easy, there's no shortage here, unless Nestle grabs it all :)
I've read a lot about which type of water to use in a MistKing. Some people can use tap, but that really depends on the quality of your water. We use a water softener, so i'm not 100% if I'll go that route. We're getting the pieces to set up our first system.
Regardless of how the water type...
We had the same thought, a big plant. But we've got three cats, so we know we have to keep an close eye on this.
Regarding temps, we hit 20C today with the sun, but that will drop as soon as the sun starts to set.
We're looking at a Jackson. For our Southern Ontario climate, and how our house warms and cool it seems the best fit. And hell, the Triceratops was the coolest dinosaur .
My wife and I are just starting out. We don't even have our first chameleon yet. We're listing to the Chameleon Breeder post cast and reading everything we can.
Just a quick hello, I'm off to read!
