We have 6 live plants and 2 fake vines, we have the fake vines for the top of the cage, where it is nearly impossible to put real plants. He munches on all the live plants but never tried to eat the fake ones. He enjoys hanging out in them a lot.
We just bought the 24" Dual light hood from DYI Cages and we love it!! Our cage is 24x24x48 and the one 5.0 we had before just wasn't enough.
We are using a Repti glo 2.0 for the plants and visual light and a Repti glo 10.0 for UVB. Our cham looks much brighter and healthier now.

@ Elizadolots..below is a picture of the croton plant, it is also called Codiaeum variegatum. i love them, they are cheap, easy to take care of and very colorful. Our cham seems to love it too...I read some more and am pretty sure they are safe, they are just not included in the safe plant lists...
