I've been looking for the best brand for reptile calcium for all reptiles (dragons, chameleons, iguana etc) what is the best? i know Exo Terra and Zoo-Med are up are the bigger named ones, but what about Komodo, T-Rex, Lucky Reptile, Pro-Rep and Vetark or other brands?
babies are usually clingy. i've heard they're like that because they like he warm feeling coming from your hands, and they like exploring like most baby reptiles. i practically have to pull my baby off (not literally) to get him back in his tank :)
sounds normal. beardies sleep in the weirdest positions and ways. why? i dont know. mine does the exact thing stands up against the glass. it may be comfortable to them :)
everything sounds right good job!! but i recommend a Reptisun or Arcadia 10.0 bulbs because they are the top 2 best uv lights too get. Reptiglow is good but i believe the life span on them is shorter compared to the Reptisun and Arcadia. Now the baby you say is sleeping alot? Now at that age...
the reptile expo i am going to is just around the corner (September 23) and i am really interested in a veiled chameleon. now i DO KNOW all chams need screen enclosures but will he/she be ok in a regular tank for about 3-4 days?
he may be still adjusting but also dehydrated? thats what happened to my female she sat in one spot and didnt eat or drink for a couple of days. i hand gave her water and she popped right back
i dont think they are messy they mostly go to the bathroom in their water bowl which makes cleaning a lot easier. i dont think they eat a lot either for their size. and for one adult i think a 55 gallon is the minimum, 75 gallon is probably better but the majority of their body is their tail...
Wooaahh!! If she isn't gravid she needs to be on a diet big time! She's a beautiful beardie but over weight can cause your beardie to take years off her life... Which no one wants. So no more treats like any worms. More veggies!!!
She looks very healthy, a tad overweigt but not too bad.It looks like she flattened herself out. My male and baby do that when I take them out sometimes and make them look fat. That's usually a defense mechanism to make themselves appear bigger than what they are.
i've always had bad luck with crickets i'd buy 5 dozen and the next day 20 are dead. so i switched to dubia roaches which are 100 times better and healthier
I got 2 bearded dragons who tolerate me pretty well. Chinese water dragons are tolerate too, I have one. Crested geckos, leopard geckos, and frilled dragons. A good bearded dragon website is beardeddragon.org and a good gecko website is geckosunlimited.com
