So my veiled finished laying her eggs at the end of April and that is all fine and dandy now... However, about a week and a half later (haven't had much time to go on the computer since then) i see 3 eggs at the bottom of the cage. I was so confused, i think she just had some left in her and...
this is an awesome thread i was just wondering what would be good for my veiled.
i gave my veiled some mango yesterday and she went crazy for it!
Also wondering if anyone knows if citrus fruits are ok for them, i have these mini seedless mandarins and i didn't want to give any to her untill i...
i have a Ficus, and my cham eats the leaves all the time! however she eats the leaves so much that some of the branches stop growing because there are no leaves left and then they break off when she climbs on them... but as long as shes happy, the plant is still in fair shape too.
My girl did the exact same thing when she was the same age, she ended up (from what i could tell) not gravid, but now she is currently laying. What i can tell you from what i know is that my girl showed the signs of being gravid, restlessness, not eating, and being testy probably a couple days...
Boy do they ever! Thanks for the tip btw I'll be sure to give her food a good dusting when she is done. I'll post when she is done (hopefully soon) or if anything changes.
Thanks for making me relax a little guys :)
thanks Dez that is probably what she has been doing:)
it just freaks me out to see her so still during day time but im sure she has been very busy today.
lol there probably, hopefully isnt actually a problem. the problem is that I'm just stressing out about it, should probably just try to chill.
I just wanted to know that her behavior is normal for her laying:p
My Cham is laying for the first time right now she started digging yesterday around 4:30 pm, it's currently 7:30 where i live and I'm a little worried. I know I've heard that when they lay it can take up to 72 hrs, I'm just concerned because last night when i went to bed i peeked in at her and...

This video is very helpful if your female is gravid. It helped me alot the first time i had to prepare a laying bin for mine :)
That is unfortunate that they don't grow back:(! She loves climbing around on her cage. She has a ton of branches to climb around on but i think i'm gonna maybe add some more now. i don't want her to break any more claws!
I didn't want to put this in the health clinic cause it doesn't really seem like an emergency or anything but my veiled lost a claw, don't know how, but its still hanging on kinda like a really bad hangnail. Now i would assume they grow back i just never thought about it before. Does this happen...
Thanks for the link it is very informative, one thing that it doesn't really mention and I'm curious about is that she is only 6 month old tops and shes already starting to lay.. is this normal?
Update on my update, the whole garbage bin thing didn't work out as well as i had hoped so what I've done is lined the bottom and about a foot of Sheba's cage with plastic and filled it with dirt (around her ficus in the middle to the walls of her cage) i think this will be the best option...
Update on Sheba
Hi everyone thanks again for the info on laying, its been a week now since she started acting funny and she has been acting strangely on and off but i am fairly certain that she still has eggs cause her belly has gotten very bloated looking over the past week and she has barely...
