Thank you for the articles. I will definitely read them when i get a chance. I was using Kale and spinach as part of my regular gut load but have since switched it up a bit. Its been a while since the change but could this be a possibility on the Vitamin A deficiency?
Heres a little timeline...
Bought her in March at a local reptile show without knowing she was pregnant.
About a month later (April 25th) she laid a clutch of 19 fertile eggs.
2 months later (June 19) she laid her second clutch of 24 fertile eggs.
She looks and acts like she may be...
Thanks for the help everyone. Her lower lip/chin area doesn't look as swollen today and she laid the biggest poop I've ever seen from her today. I will still get her checked out ASAP just to make sure everything is still good. She seems healthy with the exception of the swollen area though. Took...
No the eggs are fertile. Clutch 1 has been incubating for 5 months and Clutch 2 for 2 months. I candled the eggs and can see the babies. This current clutch could be infertile unless she retained from Clutch 2...wont know until she lays them. You think her temps are too high and food is too...

Thank you!! I did a lot of research before getting a female to mate with our male and we ended up unknowingly buying a pregnant female from a local reptile show. Exactly 30 days from buying her she started digging and laid 20 fertile eggs. 3 months later she had 24 more. Definitely unexpected...
Yes she has been eating, drinking, and i bought horn and silkworms as well. She had a very large poop and urate the day after laying so i think these eggs (the eggs themselves seemed larger than her first clutch) were plugging her up :)
Just a quick update....
After doing a little more research and doing everything i could for her before taking her to a vet and hoping to prevent her from being egg bound, i bought some sand and added some to her dirt. Within an hour she was down in the bucket digging away and 3 hours later we...
So our little beauty is still digging away after almost a week. She is still eating, drinking, and pooping and is very active. Still hoping for the best and that she isnt eggbound. Definitely taking her into the vet on Monday if she doesnt lay by the end of the weekend.
Thank you for your responses!!
She seems healthy, eating, drinking, and pooping. Could this just be an EARLY sign of being egg bound? Either way, I will make an appointment ASAP.
She has a laying bin in her cage at all times and she had started digging her holes on Sunday 7/12 and found the...
Our female panther had been digging her hole for most of the day. When i came home from work, she had covered it up and was hanging out at the top of the cage. She wasnt very dirty and still looked pretty big. My wife and i took the bucket out of her cage and thoroughly checked the dirt twice...
So after doing a good amount of research on breeding panthers, i decided on a female at the last reptile show and about 30 days after getting her, we ended up with 20 perfectly round and white eggs this past Saturday. She had dug the hole Friday and then laid them Saturday afternoon. When we...
Possibly pregnant or just paranoid, new female owner?

Picked up this little beauty at the Herp World Expo today. Couldn't pass her up on her color and super calm attitude. She appears to have what looks like a burn on her face and one of her toes. Other than that she seems to be in great health and ate 5-7 crickets and a couple Dubias when we...
