My garage is just small, and no, it doesn't run while in the garage for long periods of time. I just notice the odors and I read how sensitive crickets are so if I smell it then... won't they?
I would love to keep mine in the garage it's just, my truck is in there and I fear the fumes from the exhaust would kill them. I was planning on maybe keeping them on my balcany... I just don't know what's too cold, ya know? I don't think ants or anything would get to them since i have the...
I have a big rubber made bin for my crickets with the screen top. Does anyone on here live in Southern California and keep their crickets outside? Not in the sun ofcourse... I just don't want to kill them by accident and I've read a lot about keeping crickets. I just feel like what i've been...
That's nice to hear that I'm not the only one who has thought about it. In a perfect world one could experience the excitement of breeding their chams knowing that they will find good homes. For those who do breed, I wonder what their take on the whole thing is. I'm going to check that rescue out :)
I'm curious as to why people consider breeding their chameleons. Do those who breed them wish to do so for profit? I just feel like finding the right home for a chameleon is quite difficult as is and that I never hear what happens to the babies. I'm really curious about the status of chameleons...
It's not the price of the water or the water quality of the water I'm currently using that I'm worried about (and I don't use bottled water). A gallon a day I suppose is normal? I'm only just wondering how much is normal to go through on a chameleon on a daily basis.:p
Hmmm, I may consider that. I have to read more into that process and how it actually works. I might have to get a heavy duty filter because when I mean my tap water smells like a pool, I'm not joking! :(
At rainbow mealworms I read this...
"Butterworms are the larvae of the Chilean Moth (Chilecomadia Moorei). They are a restricted species in the United States that must be exposed to radiation before they can be shipped to prevent pupation, as they are considered an invasive pest. Because we...
How much water do you all typically go through? Im just curious. Right now I have a mister that mists for 2 minutes every 2 hours. I live in southern California and it's pretty dry out here and that's about when all the leaves have dried off. I also have a little dripper that I fill half way in...
rainbowmealworms.com says butterworms are restricted and need to be treated before being shipped and because all the bugs they sell are organic they don't do butterworms. I didn't know that about butterworms, the site goes more into detail about it.
http://www.rainbowmealworms.net/ Is a great place I've started ordering insects from (Crickets, mealworms, silkworms, dubai roaches, superworms etc... They will ship all over the USA and Canada as well. They also have a variety sample packets and the prices are the best I've found so far. :)
Now, I've seen the males and their spurs and the females and their lack there of.. but I feel like 2 month old or younger chameleons are hard to tell the difference of and I've never actually seen a very young chameleon with spurs. I've seen it on those that are older. Soo my question is, is it...
