She still hasn’t developed any mature colors so I’m guessing just under a year. I’ve just bought a probe and will be able to check temp when I get home! I will take a picture of the entire enclosure when I get home!
I currently live in Wisconsin and it still gets below 30° and pretty dry outside too.. my thermostat for the house is at 65° I’ll crack my window sometimes to bring the temp down about 5° but that drains all my humidity..
So miss skittles told me not to use my fogger in the enclosure. I actually just moved the fogger to a different area in my room and it’s actually boosting my humidity more than it was in the tank.. I was able to get 50-60% humidity last night! I can’t get my temps to drop below 75 at night right...
Yeah we were discussing her age, do to her not developing any mature colors yet I believe she’s just under a year old. I do have a lay bin, just not sure if she’s mature enough to lay eggs so I don’t think it’s that. My humidity stays between 30–45%, I am currently struggling to keep humidity...
Hello guys, My veiled chameleon that I have recently got about a week ago has been pacing her enclose the past couple days. I’m not sure if my basking light is too hot so I have it dimmed a bit. My enclosure temp is about 85° during the day. With a 41% humidity. I don’t currently have a way to...
This is her today, she is eating well and actually ate a cricket right out of my fingers! I’m hoping she is just starting to shed, but she is still “pacing” in her enclosure.. I’m not sure if that’s because I’ve just put the marble pothos in a couple days ago and she’s just liking to hang around...
Hey guys I have recently gotten a female veiled chameleon. I’m still faily new to owning a chameleon. Can anyone help me identify if my chameleon is starting to shed or if their is something else going on with her. They almsot look like flaky white spots where she’s starting to shed, but I would...
Yes, my girlfriend and I will be getting a bin setup in the next day or so! Mainly the reason I want to try and elevate the other plants, I’ve read to use a mixture of clean sand and potting soil. I just need to make sure it will be good for her when she digs that it’s moist and won’t collapse...
This helps so much, everything I’m reading is like you need to take everything out once a week and sanitize. I will do my daily spot cleaning, will wash my plants down probably every few weeks than wipe and spray down the entire cage every other month or so! Also, this is Genesis, it looks to me...
Nice setups!! Definitely will help set mine up! Just curious how often do you clean your tanks? How do you clean them? Do you take everything apart and back together?
I was able to clean up that tree a bit and also was able to get a nice spot for her to hang out under the basking light! Just trying to think of a way to get my flower pots that I have on the bottom to be lifted about a foot.
I’m thinking that I may try to get this cage to work, the cage you sent me a link to is much more nice! Going to have to talk my girlfriend into letting me make another purchase!
I’m going to trim the tree up a bit to free up some room from the UVB. I have 2 60 inch bamboo rods that I will cut to size to hopefully fill the gaps and have a nice cage to climb around in! As for the plants on the side, I don’t like them either. Surprisingly they are held on well, I’m going...
I’m wondering if it is okay to have a live plant that reaches all the way up to the top of your Chameleon Enclosure? I will post pics of what my enclose looks like, I also have some bamboo sticks that I will put under my basking lamp for a better spot for basking!
